Meanwhile, the Federal government grants $384,949 for a study on 'plasticity in duck penis length'.

I would be too.

Sadly I can't back it up since going further in detail becomes telling the actual farm/company name.  I'm toeing the line at client privacy.

3StratMan: What I'm saying is that there has to be some American citizens in prisons and jails SOMEWHERE that would qualify to be released before some of the immigrants are. Why can it only be illegal (yes, ILLEGAL) immigrants that are released? Political move all the way.

By your logic, apparently, ALL illegal immigrant's crimes are way lower priority than ANY American citizen's crimes.

It is pretty damn low on my list, yes.  I guess I'd say sneaking into the country to feed one's family might rank above minor drug offenses, jaywalking, etc.  I don't think there a heck of a lot of federal prisoners serving time for traffic tickets and personal drug use though.

Why don't you tell us which federal prisoners are committing acts that are lower priority than immigration.

Then explain to us how our immigration services, barring any acts of congress, could shift cash from immigration detentions to the other department for the purpose of meeting the requirements of sequestration.

I'm guessing you don't have good answers and explanations for these questions.

Just to add that low priority undocumented immigrants are quite literally jay walkers and traffic warning people. Cops will run someone's id on a routine stop and it'll turn into a detention from there. Why would you want to spend money detaining them instead of letting them go back to supporting their family while going thru the process?

Because it is entirely likely they won't show up for their future deportation date, believe it or not.

Not that I really give a crap about immigration, but lets not pretend the average illegal alien can be trusted to be released on their own recognizance.  I know I wouldn't show up.

sodomizer: Liberal narrative: "budget cuts forced us to release all these dangerous immigrants who are also criminals!" Media repeats it exactly, surprise surprise.

Reality: budget cuts mean you can choose to lop off expenses anywhere, and even if you do decide to release jailed immigrants, you can release the ones who are not also criminals.

As usual, this is government acting like a petulant child. They're mad that their budgets got cut, so they'er going to do whatever they can to hurt the taxpayer so that (they hope) the taxpayer will just cry uncle and re-approve a huge and sloppy-fat budget.

Liberalism: a mental disorder spread through self-pity.

Ah, another one of those. Excellent! Onto the list with you now.

6655321: FARK should start a voluntary donation fund so when the Feds finally nail Sheriff Joe, there will enough money to keep him in jail for his full sentence.

I think if they were going to nail him he'd be in the pokie by now. The evil son of a biatch will continue to get away with it.

Nah. I don't need to give you any answers, or any argument either for that matter. You've done a great job on your last 2 posts showing that you believe that all illegal immigrants not only belong in this country, but are nothing more that misunderstood saints who should all be released, as opposed to American citizens, who are all nothing more that vicious, racist criminals who should never see the light of day outside a prison wall ever again. Arguing with a Farklib that does everything he can to justify the presence of an illegal immigrant in this country is pretty much a waste of time.

For the record, I do support illegals being released from prison...and immediately being sent back to their country of origin. And secure the goddamned border as well. You want to immigrate to this country? Go through the proper, legal channels, like people have done for years and years. Because thats how "racists" like me think. (Saved you from having to label me).
