"Turns out that the trache tube didn't come out today after all; they want to give it another day or two just to make sure that v_b's well and truly ready to have it removed. And as disappointed as we are that it didn't happen today, we certainly don't want it pulled too soon, only to have to put the thing back in again.

v_b had a hard physical therapy session this morning, but he wants to keep going so he can get out of there. Your messages are really helping to keep his spirits up, and we are just overwhelmed at the outpouring of generosity from so many people that we haven't even met who've contributed to the PayPal fundraiser.
