First they banned slavery, now they've allowed small batch home brewing. Mississippi is almost into the 20th Century.

My first batch has been racked for one month so far....

That's the issue with mead. You've got to wait a LONG time to get your final product. Beer is relatively quick.

Yes, but there are homebrew supply stores in Alabama, my brother lives in Alabama and gets most of his supplies there.  IIRC he told me the suppliers would not provide the recipe, but they would give some helpful websites.
