Huh.

If the B-52 had only been deployed a couple years earlier, there would be a certain poetic symmetry here.

Its probably part of the joint practices done with us and the South Korean army. We wave our dick yearly at them, just as a reminder.

No joke. Those things are staggeringly huge. Most people don't get to see them up close, but standing under a wing gives you an appreciation for how much destruction those things can drop.

Also, do we really need to rattle a saber for Best Korea's sake?

This is what it looks like when we sabre rattle.

No real need to show this to the world.
FTA, First line

The United States said it was flying training missions of nuclear-capable B-52 bombers over South Korea

Small sentence but it does send a huge message.
We never use that word unless we mean business.

I've got my beer.
I've got my stories to tell,
But they won't tell you what it's like in hell.

We didn't know if we would live or die.
We didn't know if it was wrong or right.

I would not join the army, mostly because of Iraq......

The only way we would do anything to Best Korea is if they obviously shot at us first or if China says fark it you deal with the little sh*t we tried and they wouldn't listen to us anymore.

My dad and I were hiking in the badlands of SD and had one fly over us at maybe 500 feet.  Not only are they farking huge but slow, too.  It was ship going past in Spaceballs

actually if anything it would be for South Korea's sake. It's easy for Americans to be belligerent and wave our dicks around when we really have zero personal loss at stake. If the US launches or causes a war, ultimately it is the Koreans and Chinese who would suffer the greatest loss while the average American will still be totally insulated from it and continue their daily lives like normal.

OK, so maybe that's not a band.

But the F-15 was named after the Eagles.

But you have seen the Eagles.  They're usually the opening act for the B-52s.

After that, there's this Ramones cover band flying close air support for Trooper, with a wicked bass line on the 30mm 7-barrel rotary cannon.

I like the part where the Chinese ministry tosses in a comment about missile interceptors "escalating" tensions. China would be better served getting North Korea back on the leash than making loud mouth comments about the ability to shoot down nuclear tipped ICBMs is bad.

/China of course is pissed because their entire military strategy is predicated on their ability to fire off a shiat ton of cruise missiles at Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan in the event of any problem
//since their piss poor excuses for a Navy and an Air Force can't even cover an amphib landing on Taiwan
/their littoral amphib ability is literal worse than Hitler
