A re-post of a thread two links down. Any lazier, and the mod could land a job at CNN.

Thanks Obama!

We get it modmins, you really really really really love this story. Really really really lots. I think we need 4 or 5 more greenlit.

It's not like we are flying b52s over S. Korea right now or anything, or new pope stuff to greenlight.

This is a repeat. I am therefore automatically president and the mods have to spend the weekend hiding in the woods around Obama's golf course throwing his ball back onto the fairway so he thinks he's good.

Nah I have seen green-lights of the same story sequentially.

/been here way to long.

Apparently, MSNBC has very little factual reporting. Really. I'm reading that all over the place this morning.

The RIchest Man in Babylon: The story so nice, you green it twice.

No see, the first headline took a jab at Fox. So they needed to regreen it but nudging MSNBC now. After this, expect a third greenlight of this but mocking CNN.

Got to be Fair and Balanced.

Any chance that the other 85% is because they focus strictly on republican BS which we all know cannot be considered factual once it is spewed from the orifice and is flushed down the twisting, spiraling sewer that is the mainstream media?

2013-03-19 09:53:00 AM
Any one mentioned this story is a repeat?

It's hard to adblock out the modmins overwhelming right wing bias =/ Only when shamed publicly do they dial back the freeper dial for a day or two.

Ok since we're doing this again...

The article cites show TYPES, not whether the content is fact vs opinion.  MSNBC doesn't have much, if any, pure news programming that doesn't obviously contain commentary.  That's where the 85% "opinion" figure comes from.  By contrast, CNN or Fox could be dominated by "actual reporting" and still be insterting opinion, and the study would not count that as opinion.
It calls non-commentary reporting "factual reporting" without checking to see if they're actually facts.  The FACT that the news outlets reporting this can't tell the difference between factual reporting, straight news, commentary, opinion, and so forth just makes my anus pucker.

Let me get the content of this thread out of the way now: Liberals bad, conservatives bad, Ed Schultz is fat, Rachel Maddow is a lesbian, liberal media, insult, flame flame flame, yo momma.

Question: why is anyone outside of the hospital-ridden getting their news from cable TV?

Ask a hotel lobby full of retirees watching FOX slam Obama again in Boise, ID.

I did, and it was very enlightening.

One guy even rage-quit the room, he was so concerned/angry.

Me? Reading fark and reddit with my back to the TV.

Did he at least poop his pants as he got up only to hobble away to the restroom on his cane/walker mumbling something about "this isn't the country I grew up in." or "goddam ni@@ers taking over everything" because that would just be the icing on the cake.
