diaphoresis: Wow.. she's lucky she didn't end up with a skull fraction
DeadMouseTails: diaphoresis: Wow.. she's lucky she didn't end up with a skull fractionThey said there would be no math. That is one seriously lucky lady. She should probably try her chances at lotto before her luck wears off, because looking at the "car" she was in, it's a miracle that she didn't leave the scene in a body bag.
Nonrepeating Rotating Binary: I want to know what kind of car she was driving.
Hopman: I am a truck driver, and as such, I try to hold myself to a higher standard.
Hopman: The truck driver should be banned from driving ANYTHING (including a lawn mover) for LIFE.
Old_Chief_Scott: Hopman: The truck driver should be banned from driving ANYTHING (including a lawn mover) for LIFE.I agree. You read about too many accidents where the cause was a repeat offender. About a year ago some truck driver drove into THE SIDE of an Amtrak train. He wasn't trying to beat the train at the crossing, he just f*cking drove into THE SIDE of the train. The guy had something like five major moving offenses and his licence had been suspended on more than one occasion. He got another chance to kill some people and he finally did.
Hopman: I too am very happy to see the lady alive, especially since her car looks like a wadded up piece of tin foil. The truck driver should be banned from driving ANYTHING (including a lawn mover) for LIFE.I am a truck driver, and as such, I try to hold myself to a higher standard. My friends may give me flack about why I don't drink or even try smoking a joint, I explain to them that the last thing i want is to loose my CDL. I have worked hard for it and want to keep it.Then again, after seeing the way many people drive (and I drive in Boston a lot), some day I want to get hammered. But not before calling a cab first and making sure I'm not driving the next day.
PunGent: I admire your restraint. I drove 5-tons in the Reserves; if I drove a heavy rig in Boston, I'd probably last about three days before going on a squishing rampage.Lotta morons on the road here.
ristst: Scary fact time. One friend who taught in a CDL program told me this about the law concerning alcohol:A truck driver can get blind, drop-dead, stone cold DRUNK....and 2 hours after their blood alcohol limit hits .08 they can legally get behind the wheel of a semi. But if they smoke weed within the past 30 days it'll show up on a piss test and they'll get canned.
RatOmeter: I'd like to know what she was driving because it just passed a serious crash safety test.
Hopman: Personally, if a truck is bigger than a 1-ton, you should have a CDL, This also goes for RV's as well, as many of them are just bus shells with few seats.

Englebert Slaptyback: Hopmansome people freak out when they see how complex a truck can be or it's not as glamourors as the movies make it out to be.o_O
I_Am_Weasel: second degree criminal mischief?Sounds like he was toilet papering someone's yard. How can you convey the message that drinking and driving is serious when you basically say "Bad boy, no cookie for you".
Clint_Torres: [media.katu.com image 660x495]I know we rely on emergency personnel for 'behind the scenes' photos and all, but does this image bother anyone else?
IRQ12: OMFG?!?! A truck driver can drive two hours after they are at/below the legal limit? That's just crazy.
ristst: IRQ12: OMFG?!?! A truck driver can drive two hours after they are at/below the legal limit? That's just crazy.Don't quote me just yet....I'm checking with my instructor friend to ensure I haven't screwed things up. And if I haven't, it may be something that was in place from a decade or more back. Although I could've sworn that was what she said. Oh well....I ain't no spring chicken any more./get off my lawn
Kahabut: The woman was driving a 2002 Honda Civic, according to police reports. Now you know.
