Two from The Temptations, One from The Miracles and now one from The Spinners... not a good month for aging Motown artists.

Guess he won't Be Around.  He was One Of A Kind.  It's A Shame.

I have a soft spot for that sound and that time period, there was some great early 70's R&B, especially Philly-related stuff.  They were still with Motown for It's A Shame; another group that Berry Gordy seemed to ignore.

I'll Be Around is one of my all-time faves.   What a classy, smooth song!

RIP, Mr. 1/5 of the Spinners.  Condolences to the friends and family.

Hard to make an opening for yourself on that roster, even with Stevie writing "It's a Shame" for them. Good move by them, jumping over to Atlantic.

That era in music is legendary. Every now and then someone pops up that can pull it off but most just dont bother because the current Gen sucks at appreciating good music.

This.  There's a reason that music is still all over the place, including all over my music collection.
