Ok, I gotta admit: the custom box is pretty badass.

Also, if Ms. Kendrick is ever of a mind to be seriously bored and disappointed by a fellow, I would be willing to be that fellow

I want that on a throw blanket now.

Well great...now I need an excuse not to stand up from behind my desk for the next 5 to 10 minutes.

So is Pitch Perfect any good, it's been sitting on my amazon prime Que, but I can't decide on paying the $3.99 for it or to just wait for prime or wait for never if it's sucks really bad.

Is it suppose to be making fun of Glee or is it suppose to be a funny GLee because I don't like Glee and I doubt I'd like either version.

It's quite funny.

Article made no sense to me, have never seen that Throne show, was hoping for some new Kendrick pics. I may have came a little early.

It's neither, really.  I went in thinking it was a Scary Movie-type parody, but it's a genuine, and genuinely funny, movie about semi-nerdy folks in college.

Plus, Ms. AK wears a lot of low cut tanks the whole time.  For the price of a decent pint, it's worth a watch.

Yeah, understanding the arrangement of those words? Not really. I think she got a box because she wore a TShirt, and the rest of the stuff was just filler.

2013-03-18 02:46:19 PM
She's not what I would consider hot, but all the stuff she says and does make her quite irresistible.  I would pretend she was my sister if we were Lannisters.

I'm a fan of the "would disappoint her" meme. I like the honest pragmatism of it. But I have decided it and I must part ways. If I was informed that Ms. Kendrick was willing to avail herself of my services, I would train like a goddamn Rocky IV montage to ensure that, when the time came, I could deliver the goods impeccably. Weightlifting, endurance exercises, technique work, sparring bouts (oh please, sparring bouts!), academic study -- whatever it took to get into championship screwing shape.

Pitch perfect is nothing like Glee.  Pitch Perfect is funny and raunchy and touching.  The only thing that it has in common in some music stuff, but Pitch Perfect is way funnier.  Plus, Rebel Wilson.

You're forgetting the all-important beard.  It's very necessary when you're climbing a mountain in Russia in snow boots.

So it'll be like Challenger.  Lots of buildup, effort, time and money spent only to blow your wad 15 seconds into the mission.

That's funny you said that, I had the exact same problem. I actually started movies because it had "that chick I like from Twilight" and then be disappointed in the first few minutes when I realized my mistake.  I did that repeatedly for awhile.

Given how much Bella messes with Jacob in those movies, I was always confused as to why he didn't just ditch Bella and go after Anna Kendrick's character.  I mean, she's better looking, has a personality, and isn't obsessed to an unhealthy degree with another guy  Then the whole imprinting on Bella's unborn child thing happened and I just said "Fark It" and turned up the volume on the Rifftrax.

Agreed.  Although I think that is about #73 on the shiat-that-doesn't-make-sense-in-Twilight list.

I'd argue that Pitch Perfect is like the first few episodes of Glee Season 1, which is to say that it's about the compellingly damaged people who are attracted to a capella as opposed to being a silly tween dramedy.

I wasn't talking about sexual disappointment. I'm quite sure I could ring her bell.

But let's be honest: I have a 9-5. I live in a smallish town in an obscure state. My finances are functional, but I have to save for 6 months just to take a 1 week vacation. A girl with her career and her level of income would get bored with me and my life, stat.

I think that compiling the full list of "the-shiat-that-doesn't-make-sense-in-'Twilight'" would take an effort approximately the size of the Human Genome Project.

Agreed. She tickles the reptillian part of my brain but has the 'biatch on wheels' look about her that totally disappears when you read her tweets/instagram stuff.

And just to be a jerk here I have this feeling that she is 'a real demon in the sack'.

There is just something about grounded/self-confident women...

What I know of the entire Twilight series, let alone the individual storylines within it, stems solely from the Rifftrax takes. In between the laughs I get from those, there is an overwhelming sense of WTF when I actually try to piece together the characters and story.

I'm pretty sure a wombat wearing a Confederate General's uniform could approach me at my work and speak to me in perfect Klingon, and that experience would make infinitely more sense to me than the ramblings of Stephenie Meyer.

I only know Anna Kendrick from the trailer for Pitch Perfect, but it was love at first sight..or perhaps lust at first sight.. one of those.

elvindeath: She's not what I would consider hot

depends on how we're defining hot.... she's good-looking, has a great sense of humor, and apparently pretty good pop culture taste as well. "Hot" is hard to define, so let's say simply that Ms. Kendrick is insanely attractive.

Clash City Farker: Two things.

The Rifftrax guys were good enough to point those out for us during the first "Twilight" movie:

"Parenthetically, I posses breasts."
"The producers of 'Twilight' would like to remind you that breasts exist."
"The Breast Counsel, in collaboration with Imprint Films, encourages you to have, or look at, breasts."
"How does one tell a good dress from a bad dress?  In short, breasts, Kevin, breasts."
"The Boob Counsel would like to remind you that we are in no way affiliated with the Breast Counsel."
"Disgusting when we put our breasts on display so that guys look at them and then guys actually look at them."

2013-03-18 05:00:21 PM
Scott Ian from Anthrax got the same box (albeit "House Ian").  Must be cool being a celebrity and getting free swag.

2013-03-18 05:04:46 PM
Does nobody speak English anymore?  Because I read that whole farking "article" and I'll be damned if I can make any sense of just WTF is going on....
