There is a strip club 2 blocks from the Whitehouse called "Archibalds".

Kids today just won't get the joke.

False narrative is false. There are no "two poles," there is the far right and there's the middle Obama and the Dems are in. We've got no left at this point.

We can't have a left, because socialism is in all ways evil.  Nothing should ever be done for the common good.

Pretty much. And anybody reading books by Jacque Fresco should be burned at the stake.

Two poles?  Like the CPAC non-invitee Chris Christie who is so fat that he has his own electro-magnetic and gravitational forces that cause small rotisserie chickens to take orbit around him?  Otherwise, what the f*ck are you talking about, WaPo?  Two poles my ass. There is the extreme right which is about one goose step away from killing gays and Muslims, and then the middle.

all of Washington takes a wide stance, then?

Both sides are something.

Wow, that column was premised on quite a few false assertions and equivalences. *checks the byline*

Oh, she wrote it:

Democrats: 1 + 1 = 2

Republicans 1 + 1 = 3

Media "Ideological Middle Ground":  1 + 1 = 2.5

Ctrl-Alt-Del: Democrats: 1 + 1 = 2

Republicans 1 + 1 = 3

Media "Ideological Middle Ground":  1 + 1 = 2.5

The worst part of that equation:

2 of the 3 answers are wrong, but in this case the wrong answers "win" because 2 of the 3 players reject the correct one.

Substitute real issues into the equation, and it becomes clear why obvious solutions to problems are politically impossible. Republicans reject reality, and the media allows them to get away with it because they reject reality as well, just not as extremely. (They can't possiblely fully embrace reality, as that would make them "liberally biased" - a label which is to be avoided at all costs).

And that middle is basically the moderate right. And both the xtreme right and the moderate right are both statists.
