Yeah, and I submitted this with a headline that isn't wrong.  About 6 hours ago.

/cries

You're timeline is messed up subby, and you should've mentioned the 20 minutes Nick was retired. I'm guessing the only reason he came back and joined the presser is he already has the IRS on his ass and someone reminded him that he needs to make some money.

"Nick Diaz has been in the game a long time. If you saw his pay check tonight, you wouldn't feel too sad for him," UFC president Dana White said.

Yeah, that's about all you need to know.

Well, it was after the fight. And Cesar Gracie probably takes care of that for Nick (while embezzling him dry).

/also, nick said a while back that he "didn't go to school to learn how to buy a house," soooo...

Any time an athlete says he/she is going to give more than 100%, a blue whale farks Jesus of Nazareth from behind.

Thank Gawd no one said that then.

That fight was like watching a spider monkey try to take down a mule....  the stupid mule couldn't quite get the spider monkey off his ass.

Also the monkey was punching the shat out of the useless mule. Is there any fighter more embarrassing than Diaz?

I'm betting Nick said he was gonna retire so people can come up to him and beg him not to but since nobody did he changed his mind.

I don't follow the fighters as much as some of you guys but It doesn't seem that Nick has fought alot of talent according to his record. Half of them seem like tomato cans.

Ed Herman maybe.

I might be reading into his comments a little too much, but they almost seem to be cries for help. I have no doubt that Nick is an angry 15-year-old boy stuck in an adults body. He has no idea how to deal with success/failures/wealth much less day to day life.

Why does it always have to be Jesus? Why can't it be Muhhamed, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster? Is he that hawt?

Reasons to Ignore Nick Diaz:

1. He is a sad combination of Bi Polar and schizophrenic. Dude has no idea what he is saying from the start of a sentance to the end of it. Sad combination of drug use and blows to the head, he makes the formerly punch-drunk Chuck Liddell look like Albert Einstien. Oddly, nobody near Nick seems to realize this. Oh wait. His brother Nate is only slightly more coherant and Caesar Gracie is the black sheep of the Gracies and dependant on the Diaz Brothers, Jake Shields, and Melendez for a meal ticket.....

2. He refuses to adapt his style, instead choosing to whine about it. Diaz has hinted about switching to Boxing, and he should since he obviously doesn't understand that MMA includes wrestling.

3. He's likely going to fail the post fight drug test (3:2 odds) which should result in a cut from the UFC.

4. His best fight option is a demanded rematch against GSP or Condit???? Who can see anything else but a repeat of the previous results? Apparently only Nick.

and finally...

5. If he truely has not filed taxes, his next fight is going to take him out of action for a long long time. Nick made a disclosed payroll of $375,000 for his last 3 strikeforce fights and $475,000 in his 2 first UFC fights. So.... not paying tax on a disclosed income of $850,000 over  2.5 years = IRS Raping...........

Goddamnit, everything I was going to say was covered in the first three comments.

I'm not the least bit surprised who made those comments, btw.

For what it's worth, Nick got a couple of new fans Saturday night. He might not have been up to par with that homo's wrestling, but GSP couldn't do too anything to Diaz while he was on the ground. Just about the entire time Diaz was down, it seemed to my uneducated eye, he was trying to get one of them omaplata things going. He almost got one late in the fight.

Here's a shocker...if GSP makes it past Hendrickson (did I spell that write?) I bet ol' Askren could get hold of GSP, and ride him for all he's worth.

Am I a wizard?

/Probably not.

Except for me, but that's because I love hearing him scream.

Quick follow-up note on UFC 158, for those keeping track:

Per the medical suspensions list, the post-fight condition of Johny Hendricks has been downgraded from "broken hand" to "sprained fingers."  So he shouldn't be out of action for as long as was originally feared.

Thanks for that update.

You should submit it as a thread to the sports queue.
