This is unsurprising since young turtles are rarely cared for by adults once they're hatched.

Yeah, he had one the other day about Ayn Rand approving Paul Ryan's budget that gave me an inner chuckle. He's mostly an Onion wannabe, but he has his moments.

My mom sent this to me this morning. Gotta say, I kinda wish more Rs would learn to STFU with their family about politics...

Is that satire? I can't tell by the tone of your voice.

Satire ought to be banned with regards to the GOP. Who the hell can really tell the difference?

2013-03-17 07:23:35 PM
I would say that we just raised the capital gains tax 2 1/2 months ago, those one the left want you to forget about that.  And assault rifles are banned for all except a very few with a special license.  If you are talking about daddy's M4, it is not an assault rifle, I know it may look scary to some, but in reality, it is no different than daddy's Glock and is far less deadly than my 357Mag revolver.  Some people are trying to distort the truth to get their way, but I know you are smarter than that.

2013-03-17 07:26:26 PM
It's somewhat sad that the only thing that really tipped me off that this wasn't legit was the gnawing feeling that Eric Cantor was a bit on the young side to have adult children.

The Borowitz Report is, and always has been satire. You can't accuse him of being an Onion knock-off either, they both started at about the same time.

What's a little sad about this is the fact that that's exactly what Alan Keyes did with his daughter.

And we also cut spending recently.  Does that mean we can't cut anymore?  Or does that logic only work on tax increases?

Yes dig your heels in, stay steadfast to whatever you're throwing your weight behind, even if that means you don't talk to you loved ones about your loudmouthed idiocy.

This is the epitome of arrogance.

2013-03-17 09:56:19 PM
It would have been funnier if they did a 'satire' piece about talking with their children in the way that they actually probably DO think about how they need to talk about their children. You know, they don't need to come up with anything new to say, they just have to say it better.
