I believe back in the day, David Letterman always referred to them in the proper term "NBC pinheads."

<tfa>What we're supposed to gather is that maybe, just maybe, behind the scenes things aren't as rosy as we're led to believe with Leno and NBC right now. His contract doesn't run out until late 2014, but the reported plan to move Fallon to theTonight Show would have soft-launched next summer. The email exchange, accompanied with the leaked reports of an early ouster, point to a growing displeasure between the network and Leno. If these leaks are coming out, but they can't be sourced to the only parts of a feud between Leno and his overseers we're just learning about? The alternative is that Leno's defenders at NBC weren't pleased with the succession reports and snitched on Greenblatt for what was likely a harmless, maybe even regular, email exchange. Hmm, we're meant to say. Hmm, indeed.</tfa>

hmm?

If you had kept reading just a few sentences more, you would have made it to this line:

Yep, those are some really edgy jokes from Mr. Leno. It's the kind of envelope-pushing stuff we've come to expect from him during his never-ending tenure as Tonight Show host.

Leno responded by making humorous combinations of the executives' names ("It's the Banger/Harder wedding!" LOL).

If you don't like jokes about your network being in 5th place, do a better job of managing it and get it out of 5th place.

which Larry Sanders illustrated brilliantly by sending Hank with a camera and a basket (of soup mix?) to the network.
hey-now hilarity ensued.

Maybe if they hadn't botched it in 2009, the proper question could be asked..."Jay who?"

I honestly don't think entertainment reporters operate on that kind of level. These are people who see significance in Kardashians.

Count me Among the butthurt. While I don't harbor as much animosity towards Leno as I do NbC for farking Conan over for many years when he was at the height of his popularity because they didn't want the competition should he go somewhere else, the way they strung him along and then pulled everything away from him just to keep Leno in the end was very ridiculous. But that's Hollywood. Leno does deserve blame because it was HIS butthurt that started the mess. Conan just went more drama queen in public then Leno did.

/oh and, stop liking what I don't like.jpg

I thought the jokes in the clip were actually pretty funny.  Leno's not my favorite late night host (that would be Craig Ferguson), but I thought his bagging on the ratings was pretty good.

I can also see how they might chap some asses around the management side, though.
