Well bless her poor, dear sweet heart for trying so hard...

She's just so darn folksy.

She said, while reeling off bad one liners about how terrible Obama is.

Well, that's an odd phrase.

In all fairness - she was talking about the GOP leadership.  All they do is keep on doing the same old shiat, preaching to the choir of GOP/Teatard faithful.  She has a point.  It's not been successful.  Someone in that party needs to grow a pair and say something different and progressive.

Unfortunately, I can almost guarantee that anything she or a GOP leaders thinks is progressive will be absolutely horrific.

And she had big gulps, because somehow the asshattedness of Bloomberg is totally Obama's fault.

Yes, and I'm sure this thread will be filled with imbeciles, claiming that Sarah Palin and the Republicans are detached from reality.  She's spent the last five years as my president, and she takes time out of her busy day to speak at a conference for bipartisan unity.  Who's really detached from reality?

Every time Michelle Obama makes some statement about nutrition and eating well, there's a horde of right-wing bloggers tweeting things like "LOL I'M EATING A BIG FAT BURGER NOW TAKE THAT FARTBONGO"

It makes me wish she'd make a statement that it's bad to take massive doses of cyanide.

poor thing looks like she's losing weight.  must not be eating right.  but even when things aren't going well you got to take care of yourself.  letting yourself go like that just makes things worse.

It was classic Palin with such lines as "we get it, you won, now back away from the teleprompter", which,  she of course, read off of a teleprompter.

Another classic from our favorite fugitive from Hooters was "Todd got the gun, but I got the rack!".

Which, if she were president, would be akin to Obama saying "ya know, my wife Michelle has just launched an anti obesity campaign, but now  I'm beginning to think the only chubby she approves of, is the one in my pants.
But seriously, there is nobody I'd rather have on my staff, you know what I mean? you know what I mean?".

Classy broad that Sarah.

option 3. You have a hard time identifying satire.

Mike is practicing his unique brand of satire.  As a troll it's only about 2/10, and I think he could do better if he were trolling for realz.

Just gonna repeat something I posted earlier...

I've come to the conclusion that CPAC actually stands for "Conservative Pep and Cheering."

Supposedly it was a place for conservatives to gather, strategize, come up with new ideas and figure out how to get their agenda ahead.

But looking at the speakers they have (or do not have,) the sheer goofiness and Fark headlines that seem to be coming out of it on an hourly basis, and the overall "let's just say lines that will get applause from the echo chamber!" feel to the whole thing, it just seems like a high-school pep rally before a football game.

It will probably have just as much effect on the contests ahead.

/ Afterwards, they all go out to Taco Bell.

Last Daily show I watched (couple weeks back) had the Romney interview, where he said he "didn't get his message out."  Several clips of Romney repeatedly shiatting on half of America later and Jon said, "no, it's more a case of your message GOT out, despite your best efforts."

The point being that Republicans, ever masters of self-awareness, honestly think they just need MORE airtime and MORE propaganda spread across the nation to convince us of their righteousness.

All you need to know about why Chris Christie, GOProud, or anyone else isn't invited to CPAC is that the American Conservative Union's annual conference is a pep rally.
