I'm a fan neither of Jobs nor his business practices. But I still maintain that hiring Ashton Kutcher to play him is just cruel.

We are doing a biopic on massive douchebag, who should play him?

Dude, where's my biopic?

Jobs was brilliant in taking ideas from others and making success out of them. Any film that does not show a steady descent like Hughes into madness and obsession will be wrong. He was very charismatic and able to build a cult of personality around himself while being cruel and vindictive at all times. A movie that doesn't show the talent in the early years by Woz will be flawed. It goes that showing Jobs' intelligence relied upon others formulating the ideas and his ability to make them work through marketing will be more to the truth. He had great ideas on how to present others' ideas as great.

Just jump into the failure pool, Five Star, the ice you filled it with isn't gonna melt while you "create buzz".

I was hoping this was going to be about some unreleased Beatles music or something. I don't really care about Steve Jobs or his life.

Did the ending not test well with preview audiences?

He was the Edison of our time.

C'mon, you guys - you all know why Kutcher was chosen - he is physically perfect for the part. A little light grooming, and he's a spitter for a young Steve Jobs. And as far as portraying an odd, alienated person like Jobs - I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled it off. Almost every actor is good in some role.

I honestly don't get the hate for Kutcher.  Happen to think he is a pretty talented actor with a good sense of timing.  Yes, he may be an imbecile in real life, but that could describe about half of Hollywood's A-listers.

Does that mean that there'll be a band called Woz in the late 2080s?

Woz is a hero of mine (when he purchased on of my products I literally cried with pride)

If he says it sucks it should probably be ignored.

Bill Hicks on Marketing (therefore Jobs and his cocksucker minions)

By the way if anyone here is in advertising or marketing... kill yourself.

No, no, no it's just a little thought. I'm just trying to plant seeds. Maybe one day, they'll take root - I don't know. You try, you do what you can. Kill yourself.

Seriously though, if you are, do.

Aaah, no really, there's no rationalisation for what you do and you are Satan's little helpers. Okay - kill yourself - seriously. You are the ruiner of all things good, seriously. No this is not a joke, you're going, "there's going to be a joke coming," there's no farking joke coming. You are Satan's spawn filling the world with bile and garbage. You are farked and you are farking us. Kill yourself. It's the only way to save your farking soul, kill yourself.

Planting seeds. I know all the marketing people are going, "he's doing a joke..." there's no joke here whatsoever. Suck a tail-pipe, farking hang yourself, borrow a gun from a Yank friend - I don't care how you do it. Rid the world of your evil farking makinations. Machi... Whatever, you know what I mean.

I know what all the marketing people are thinking right now too, "Oh, you know what Bill's doing, he's going for that anti-marketing dollar. That's a good market, he's very smart."

Oh man, I am not doing that. You farking evil scumbags!

"Ooh, you know what Bill's doing now, he's going for the righteous indignation dollar. That's a big dollar. A lot of people are feeling that indignation. We've done research - huge market. He's doing a good thing."

Godammit, I'm not doing that, you scum-bags! Quit putting a godamm dollar sign on every farking thing on this planet!

"Ooh, the anger dollar. Huge. Huge in times of recession. Giant market, Bill's very bright to do that."

God, I'm just caught in a farking web.

"Ooh the trapped dollar, big dollar, huge dollar. Good market - look at our research. We see that many people feel trapped. If we play to that and then separate them into the trapped dollar..."

How do you live like that? And I bet you sleep like farking babies at night, don't you?

"What didya do today honey?"

"Oh, we made ah, we made ah arsenic a childhood food now, goodnight." [snores] "Yeah we just said you know is your baby really too loud? You know?" [snores] "Yeah, you know the mums will love it." [snores]

Sleep like farking children, don't ya, this is your world isn't it?

I think the main hate comes from his Punk'd days.  He went from being a pretty amusing Kelso to just about an unfunny, insufferable d-bag.

Who cares about this crappy biopic? Aaron Sorkin is writing the REAL Steve Jobs movie, and that's the only one you will want to watch.

Don't worry there will be 10 movies in the next 5 years. Then the nostalgia will kick in and the reboots will start.
