duenor: don't know the guy but I don't need to to want to help.
The Bananadragon: Can't do a damn thing right now, can barely manage my own family through the next week or so.But as you mentioned, bills don't evaporate. And I have MRSA colonized on me, I just got over my 5th abscess in the last 12 months, so I have some idea of how awful it can get. It was on my gums, which made me terrified of it getting into my bloodstream if it ruptured inside my mouth. I see from this story that I was right to worry.I'll kick something his way at the end of the month, when I can. Because MRSA sucks./f'n MRSA
coco ebert: I like this Farker- good guy. I'm off to donate. It's not much, but hope it will help. Feel better soon!
sevente: not trying to be a dick but who? I don' t know the name and the Google's only seem to turn up stuff about motorbikes. Is he a farker? If so then the headline should probably say that rather than fark favourite (whatever that means). Speaking of which, without knowing who this person is the headline doesn't really elicit much sympathy to donate. With that being said I hope that Mr Blackshadow makes a full recovery and wish he and his family all the best.
Witchydiva: GREEN!!!!!Alright - for folks new to the thread - Blackshadow is on the road to recovery, and able to speak for the first time in over a month (as of a couple days ago). If you can make a donation (small, large - whatever you might be able to afford), please mark it "gift" or "personal" to avoid PayPal's most painful fees. Also, I just gave Blackshadow's wife an update on the total so far (was $750 at the time), and this is her response:"I just told Blackshadow; he said, and I quote, 'Holy shiat! I love those guys.' Thank you so much! "
techmom: Happy to donate to vincent_blackshadow - a TFarker who came too close to moving Beyond Fark.
Purelilac: Get well soon, bananadragon.
Franko: "Relying on the generosity of others" is not a health plan.I love you and I would be sending this thread to my Congresscritters if they weren't Jim McGovern, Elizabeth Warren, and uh, not John Kerry. :-\ Alas, they already agree with you/us, which is great for the cause and not so great for affecting change in the people who disagree. Or something.Bathia_Mapes: Thank you and best wishes. :-)
LlamaGirl: Oh Bananarama I love you
gambitsgirl: Ok - my three Thank You subs are complete.
panfried: MRSA is a biatch, though my mother was fighting lung cancer, it was MRSA pneumonia that took her.
tudorgurl: I wish I could. Right now, every spare penny is going to help my dad while my mom is in hospice. But I will light a candle for him and hope for the best. I'm sorry that that's the best I can do.
muck4doo: Thank you by the way Witchydiva for letting us know what is going on, and putting this together.
MNguy: gambitsgirl: Ok - my three Thank You subs are complete. Thanks sweetie.
gambitsgirl: My husband got MRSA in his last year of ALS and being wheelchair and bed bound it was a total biatch for me to maintain. I never got it but my 7-year-old son did and I had to spend a week in the Children's Hospital with him hoping he wouldn't die along with his father.God Bless. xoxoxox
MNguy: gambitsgirl:You were the very first farker who believed I could be anything but an alt with my ridiculous story. xoxoxoNot to threadjack, but it seems as if you're doing well and I'm really happy for you.
Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: gambitsgirl: My husband got MRSA in his last year of ALS and being wheelchair and bed bound it was a total biatch for me to maintain. I never got it but my 7-year-old son did and I had to spend a week in the Children's Hospital with him hoping he wouldn't die along with his father.God Bless. xoxoxoxSorry to hear of your loss, gambitsgirl. Much respect to all-a-y'all out there.
lohphat: If you've opposed single payer healthcare not only are you incapable of doing the math vs our current costly system but you're an asshole for causing unnecessary suffering and destruction of families through crushing healthcare debt.
Witchydiva: PayPal balance: $2,130.00 USDI did not expect this on a Saturday, much less the day before St. Patty's Day.IMHO, 12.fl.oz. nailed it in Arelas' memorial thread:"I never could really put my finger on why I kept coming back to fark. The name calling, trolls, and some of the narrow thinking that I am as guilty as the next person. Then I think I figured it out, WE are all one big dysfunctional family. We call each other names and get in our little fights but when the chips are down, we have each other's backs."
Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: Best wishes to all-a-y'all out that-a-ways too, The Bananadragon.panfried: MRSA is a biatch, though my mother was fighting lung cancer, it was MRSA pneumonia that took her.You have my sincerest condolences, panfried.tudorgurl: I wish I could. Right now, every spare penny is going to help my dad while my mom is in hospice. But I will light a candle for him and hope for the best. I'm sorry that that's the best I can do.And all the best to you and your folks as well, tudorgurl.muck4doo: Thank you by the way Witchydiva for letting us know what is going on, and putting this together.Amen to that.
gambitsgirl: I need to correct that. Choo was the first and I blame him for my ticket to hell. You were the fist TFer
Gnu Mutant: Thanks, Bathia. A whole new world has opened up.
