That kid is officially a purebred Walmartian.

After reading the comments below the article I'm firmly convinced that some of them are politics tab regulars.

With the tens of billions the Wal-Mart heirs have, you would think they would do something nice: a college scholarship for the kid, or a free set of nursery furniture, or even just a few months of diaper service.

Anybody want to bet on that happening?

I'm really surprised this doesn't happen more often.  The Wal*Mart I frequent has lots of pregnant Hispanic women roam the aisles.

Sure you do that for one kid and the next thing you know it's cleanup on aisle everywhere with preggos droppin' loads.

Actually 'Preggos Droppin' Loads' would make a good pron title. Thanks Fark you've done it again!

Doubt they want to encourage pregnant women to induce labor on their land, they'd end up with a ton of shopping center anchor-store babies and parents expecting all kinds of benefits.

You could nuke a WalMart and do less than $235k in total damages.

At least it saved them the cost of having a doctor or midwife deliver the baby.

"$300,000, Trombley. That's the cost to raise your average middle-class white kid. Maybe since your fiancee's Mexican and you'll have little half-Mexican babies, you can cut corners, do it on the cheap. I bet Sergeant Espera's parents didn't spend more than a hundred to raise him. But of course, look how he turned out."

Pics or it didn't happen.

Is it bad that when I opened the article and saw the actual headline "Baby born inside Walmart Store," I immediately thought she probably didn't even know she was pregnant? Then I read the article, and found out my first instinct was wrong.

It's WalMart, don't babies just drop out of customers there?  Of Tiffany, Heather, Cody, Dylan, Dermot, Jordan, Taylor, Brittany, Wesley, Rumer, Scout, Cassidy, Zoe, Chloe, Max, Hunter, Kendall, Caitlin, Noah, Sasha, Morgan, Kyra, Ian, Lauren, Q-bert, and Phil, I bet at least eight were born at the WalMart.

Hardly unique to Canada. The US government picks up the tab for over 40% of pregnancies and deliveries in America. Local health funding and hospital charity care probably pays for many more.

If healthcare were graded your over 40% is still a fail.

Walmart is where Sheldon and Missy Cooper were born, so it can't be all that bad.

I told my kids that we bought them from Wal-Mart and if they didn't behave, I was going to return them to customer service.

Worked.
