runaway06: Go Gators! Beat Dortmund!

Agreed. There is nothing more annoying than a Borrussia Dortmund fan.

Bayern have looked pretty out of it the past few matches, would love to see a win here though.

It's been ages since we have even had a goal, but surely we can get at least one and a win this weekend...

Can Robben and Gomez please get off the field now? Stop trying to show off and pass the damn ball.

Okay. He can stay, for now.

Bayern lost to Bayer in the first match due to an own goal in the final minutes of the game.

Bayer just lost to Bayern because of an own goal in the final minutes of the game :P

Apparently winning this broke the most away wins in a season, is that true?

Overall not a great game from Bayern, Schweinsteiger was immense in the first half, more subdued in the later stages but that can be said for the whole team. Schweini was in the #10 role too, and I think he did well but he isn't a #10. He shifted back to DM, Defender, Attacking midfield, wherever he needed to be.

Mario Gomez showed once again that he's class. Not sure why he gets so much hate. He's putting up damn good numbers considering that he's gotten very little playing time this season. I think he's Bayern's tenth highest scorer in the history of the club now? Much deserved, Mario. He wasn't at his absolute best, but considering how awful Mandzukic was Wednesday I was happy to see Gomez start.

Robben wasn't great, missed on glaringly obvious passes, but he was more or less the attacking midfield when Schweinsteiger decided to track back. Not terrible.

Heynckes annoyed me the most. His subs have been atrocious the last few games. Put on DVB for Robben when you're one goal down? Really? AT LEAST sub on Tymo, who can shore up the middle and add something to the attack. Not much, but keep it a midfield battle if you want to just not concede.

I think Gomez is a fantastic player, but he's really known for letting the pressure get to him and trying to do the thing that benefits him best, rather than the thing that benefits the team (going for trick shots when an easy goal could be had, keeping it to himself when a great pass is available, etc.)

With Basti, I think he's still doing good, but he hasn't fully been himself this season, I don't know if the injury just aged him a bit, or if he's just been off a bit. He's still in my top 10 though.

I didn't understand his subs in that one, a bit odd. Didn't get to see Wednesday's game, probably for the best.

Oh I wasn't calling you out in particular. There's a small section of Bayern fans though who can't stand Gomez. Never really understood why, he's been consistently scoring goals for awhile now. The problem with Gomez is that he''s usually not very creative or a stellar passer. He's decent and CAN score without a good midfield backing him (Hell, he basically led Stuttgart to a BuLi title with no midfield) but he struggles when he gets poor service like today. Some want us to sell Gomez and use the money to get Rooney or Lewandowski. Ugh. No thanks.

Well today Bastian was immense in the first half. He basically played every position on the pitch at one point except for keeper. I think his last few games have been some of the best soccer he's played in his career. Lots of game changing passes, etc. But the first part of his season was poor for his standards.

I actually just took a look at the bench again. The only true attacking sub was Pizarro, and I guess Heynckes could have subbed on Pierre Hojbjerg, but Hojbjerg is an academy kid who has yet to play an actual BuLi game. Playing him against Leverkusen is throwing him to the wolves, he should play against a team like Furth first.

Fark has an Augsburg tag? Wes-thefark-wegen?

/Lived there a long time ago when FC Augsburg was stuck in Bayernliga.
//New stadium is near where I lived. Drove by the old stadium to get to work.
///Hoist a Prinzregent Luitpold Hefeweiß for me. (OK, make that an Andechser Weißbier Hefetrüb, marius.)
