Your FFPL report for Round 29

farm9.staticflickr.com

A moderately positive week for most players on a very limited group of just six fixtures. For MOST players.

At the top, a last minute winner for the Toon changed a -30 to a +90, helping me increase my lead over Obamartins slightly - he used the banker/insurance approach on that game as well - showing a disturbing lack of faith. For the record, a +90 feels even better when it is your team.

At the bottom, 30/30 scored a healthy +65, reversing a terrible recent run with two perfects and just two wrong. Possibly that was auto-generated as he didn't use the banker or the insurance chips?

After me as top scorer we have ADubs86 with +95 and nathanjr on +75. Adubs joined me in having a sweet, sweet +90 for Toon-Stoke but nathanjr was crippled by a -30 on Norwich Vs Southampton.

On the slide this week we have Chattanooga_FC and lost_limey with -50, demonstrating that you can do yourself a lot of damage, even with only a short blade. TottenhamLukewarmspur on -30 and I have nae sympathy 'cos he went for a Stoke win.

Mitchcumstein1 drops onto Page 2 thanks to backing Swansea, replaced on Page 1 by DesertMoloch who collected an above average 65 this week - possibly automatically?

StRalphtheLiar keeps the Presidency of the Banker Bonus club, retaining his +20 again - impressive work and measurable chutzpah to put it on WBA beating Swans. The ONLY result he got right this round. His reign may end soon, as one spot below Adubs86 is within spitting distance and outranking him Cognitive_Displaysia, Martissimo and Team Toon are all on 15s with MUFC at home to Reading.

Here is how FFPL is looking in the global context of all 76,000 players.

Our median is between The_Envoy and Norfolkingchance at #32,488, meaning FFPL is doing better than a random cross section of global players. It is very early as I type this, but I think that is the 43rd percentile? It should be noted that we started a week late - a handicap - but we've also pruned some dead players which the global league won't have done. Our last uncensored player - 30/30 is ahead of more than 25,000 players. She Who Must Not Be Teased on -10 total is still ahead of 1000 players.

In the League of Leagues, FFPL is in 86th position. Can anyone infer [or read] how our score is calculated collectively? Is it just a sum of player scores?

See:  http://predictor.talksport.co.uk/minileagues/league-of-leagues.htm?id = 17006 - membership required.

At the top I'm in 694th - just inside the top 1%. Obamartins in the Top 6%. Global leader is on 2525 to my 1980. Spur's supporting Lady called Tracey. I'm 24th of all Toon fans. Kcostell - any AFC Wimbledon fans beating you?

9 games to go!

DAMN it was hard to make picks this week. I'll be crying into my beer this time tomorrow night, I think

Wow, only 6% calling for an Everton win. No doubt Everton's struggling, but Man City hasn't been THAT dominant against them, especially at Goodison Park.

I have Cognitive_Displaysia down as holding the record for highest score in a round with a huge 225 back in round 5. Any advance on 225?

1-0 home win not in 8 most common predictions. Coo!

Everton's tired. You could tell last week against Wigan. Don't have too much faith that they can get it done against City, who need the points worse than the Blues do.

I put it on Man U as i think Reading are much worse than Everton and Utd are better than City. If you are only going for the x2 better make it a sure thing.

Plus insuring your banker is for girly men who exfoliate and moisturise.

Oops! I meant to type I have my insurance on a MCFC win. Banker is elsewhere.

Word on the street is Joleon Lescott's on the way out of City. Sign him up Brendan!

AAAHHHHH, that makes more sense. I predicted a City win, but by a narrow one-goal margin and I wouldn't be surprised if it went the other way. I used my insurance on Aston Villa/QPR. That was too tough a game for me to call. Nothing would surprise me with that game. Aguero out, Komany out for City, Tim Howard not in goal for Everton...

2013-03-16 08:43:23 AM
No Yaya? Ohh, this might be a tougher call than I thought.

2013-03-16 08:58:22 AM
Barely offside. Might be level.

They're still outplaying the crap of city.

City couldn't finish a pie. What the fark. Embarrassing.

2013-03-16 10:11:06 AM
Wow, 2 GREAT saves

Does city even want a goal? 0 2 buck chuck shirts in the box (considering the quality of play that color doesn't earn the name Burgundy).

City...you're farking terrible.

The entire EPL save ManUre is absolute shiat this season.

2013-03-16 10:29:27 AM
Welp, you might as well go ahead and give United the trophy now. As it stands, the Manchester derby could lock up the title.

2013-03-16 10:29:42 AM
And city just got robbed.

2013-03-16 10:30:28 AM
Eek.  Oh yeah, Free kick is the right call.  :)

2013-03-16 10:30:53 AM
I'll say.  Terrible call.

Yeah, that wasn't even close.

2013-03-16 10:30:56 AM
Why are people shocked that a team thats been between 3rd and 5th for most of the season taking an injury depleted and demoralised Man City down to the wire? Its not like its a team from the bottom half of the table doing this.

/Everton have been good most of the season
//Deserve some credit
///If i had know the injuries i might of insured this result

What did Garcia do to get those boos?

Just another case of player rolling around like they were shot then hopping up once the card is shown.

Holy shiat, Everton. Well done

2013-03-16 10:37:47 AM
Thanks for stopping by ManC.

2013-03-16 10:38:17 AM
City... You should be absolutely embarrassed. 20 minutes being a man up. You're supposed to be an all-star team a la Real Madrid. Fark you guys.

2013-03-16 10:39:07 AM
-10

2013-03-16 10:42:23 AM
That was a good start to the weekend.

2013-03-16 10:43:24 AM
It looks from whats been said on the BBC text feed that the ref and the lino's had a shocker. So Everton should of got the disalowed goal, City should of got a penalty and Milner should of joined Pinaar with a red. Did i miss anything?

Looking at my chart, you have to think the vast majority took a bath. And almost everyone who didn't has their insurance to thank.
