'Rocky V' is underrated. Sorry, I just enjoy any chance I get to throw that out there.

Thought it was going to Paulie's robot, the 80'sest moment from an 80's movie ever.

Someone could try to do something like the guy did with the "Christmas Story" house in Cleveland... although I don't know that there is as much sentiment about "Rocky" as with "A Christmas Story".

I get messages on my birthday saying this in a robot voice.  Didn't it have a woman's voice by the end of the movie?

It's actually worth it just for the short walk to the Melrose but also South Philly is coming up in a seriously big way, but it isn't NoLibs insane yet, but they just put a few $400k, 4 bedroom, 3.5ba with a roofdeck new construction for sale up the street by Dickinson Square Park so prices aren't going to stay sane for too much longer.

Which is to say "up the street from me" east of Broad. West of Broad is getting a lot of attention, too. It's not quite the wasteland of base heads and Operation Sunrise corners it used to be.

With the fall of crime nationwide, America's cities are coming back. Of course, folks do like their space and/or a commute to the suburbs is shorter/easier for that particular person, but in many cases, safety concerns are overblown ...

And the Trans-Am?  (don't forge the Trans-Am)

And the turtles (Cuff and Link)

And a punching bag in the basement?

Yeah, west of Broad just south of Washington is developing quickly, and the powers that be who've controlled Point Breeze for the last fifty years (ie, black clergy and politicians) are flipping the fark out.

Newbold is alright, and the area around the Melrose has never been that bad.

East of Broad, Passyunk Ave is going nuts; you can't throw a rock without hitting a good bar or restaurant, and that's one of the things driving house prices.

Oh, the only thing that sucks about living near the Melrose now is the Melrose itself: it changed hands a couple of years ago and the new owner gutting the menu.  I haven't been back since they 86'd the custard french toast.

My brother in law used to own that place.  It just was never the same after he sold out.

hey hey, wassup fellow guy-down-the-street-from-Terminis, Passyunk got awesome all of a sudden, but I wish the King of Jeans hadn't gotten overthrown. We bought about four months ago off of 6th and Tasker and are just loving the neighborhood after living at 3rd and Bainbridge for so long.

It's not a bad price for a home that size in an up-and-coming area of a major city, but if the same woman had been living there since Rocky 2 filmed, I'm afraid to know what condition the interior is in.
