I'm so old I remember when legalizing weed was a perfectly respectable Republican position, endorsed by leftists like Bill Buckley and Barry Goldwater.

I think it's worse than that. I think he voted against the medical marijuana bill because he's a drug dealer himself. Legal medical marijuana would cut into his profit margin.

From that photo I'd say he does meth too.

He should resign. If I did that and I would.

Have the balls to stand up for what you believe in or face the consequences for being a lying hypocritical sack of shiat.

Bennie Crabtree: He probably doesn't see a logical inconsistency because he thinks that some laws, like drug laws, apply only to working people. He's wealthy, so won't decriminalize pot. If he did, the proles would be out of control. Successful people, on the other hand, can have all the drugs they want, because obviously they are not problems in society. The real story here is the overactive cop's imagination that led to him being busted. Clearly one of those working class cops who have a chip on their shoulder when they see success.

This so much.

His attorney will no doubt invoke the Limbaugh Defense, where even though Assemblyman Katz crusaded against the scourge of drugs and demanded harsh sentences for those filthy stoners *THIS* case is so, so different since Assemblyman Katz has a sickness and needs treatment and prayers and support, not punitive punishment.
