giftedmadness: Can someone explain the headline to me?

Some ex-NBA player with a temper problem got banned from an international team.  He was supposed to be a ringer, but his temper got the better of him and he chocked a teammate.

A player who got cut from several NBA teams went to go play internationally as a ringer in the Philippine Basketball league. He played seven games before having a temper tantrum over a foul call during which he bumped 2 refs, shoved 2 of his teammates several times, and culminated it with choking a teammate. In response to this meltdown, the league commissioner permabanned him from the league. The player could go to another international league for work, but it is unlikely that any will take him after this incident.

Pretty tame compared to Artest's outburst.

Youd have anger issues too if you spent ime as a Knickerbocker.

In fairness, missing that call is ri-goddamn-diculous. Nah, sure they're just flailing at his arms over and over and the shot from five feet goes two feet short...I'm sure that a former professional missed that badly with no contact. And then they called a foul, seemingly on him, after the play when the dude bent over to prevent him from getting near the ball?

Dudes make the NBA refs look pretty damn good, and we all know they're pretty horrible.

I guess he was technically still a professional. I just meant in a real league.

I read his name as Rolondo Blackman at first.

He did miss that badly with no contact, all three arms near him were straight up.  His foul was wrapping his arms around the guy.  I am pretty sure wrapping a guy up is a foul any day, well maybe not football.

Wow, really? Why is there only one option to pick from and why does it start out with option C?
