Speaking at CPAC today, Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) tried to disprove climate change by noting that President Obama wore a jacket during his chilly inauguration in January (video below).

"He talked about global warming at his inauguration, I found it ironic that the President was wearing a trench coat it was so cold but he's talking about global warming," Rep. Scalise said

All or nothing, push, it's got to be
Something's gotta show when you're living under heat
All or nothing, push, girl let it be
Take it from a pol who's rocking to the beat

It proves you don't have lava in your yard. This is a good thing. By Republican logic it proves there is no such thing as heat, which is... good, I guess?

If I had a website full of derp I'd be sure to submit every article to Fark. There aren't many high traffic outlets for pure derp any more.

The high traffic count from greenlighted articles results in increasing advertising revenue for the site, thereby keeping a site alive by sheer force of "Oh my god, will you look at that!"

In the past, carnival "freaks of nature" could make a decent living by allowing others to look at their deformities - for a price. Now it appears the lull of easy cash is encouraging people to tattoo, pierce, and "modify" their bodies into unrecognizable human-like shapes write the derpiest articles imaginable, instead of the just being born that way actually having those ridiculous opinions.

This, sadly.

It's a combination of disgust and sympathy when someone choose to loudly proclaim their lack of understanding of even the most basic of climate principles.

1: All Republicans are this retarded.
2: There is nothing "conservative" about CPAC. Everyone there is an inbred reactionary pants-shiatting chicken-hawk. No exceptions. Zero. Nada. None. Of course, the same can be said for the Republican party in general, and all of its affiliates and subsidiaries (NAMBLA, StormFront, NewsCorp, Koch Industries, the KKK, Fred Phelps, the Tea Party, Sovereign Citizens, Evangelical Christians, Breitbart, etc)
3: Poe's Law does not apply to Republicans. The absolute worst, most batshiat insane greedy behavior which can be imagined, is actually what Republicans are really like. Especially the ones who consider themselves to be Christians.
4: Any Republicans (or their water carriers, lickspittles, catamites, etc) who protest any of the above points are automatically overruled, simply because they are Republicans.
5: goto 1.

It's one thing to confuse "climate" with "weather".  It's completely another thing to confuse "global" with "local".

Well you see, the gop didn't lose last Fall because they are a bunch of bigited nutbags and assholes. They were and still are proud of being bigots and nutbags.

They lost because WE didn't embrace their nutbag assholery. We did the bad thing, it's our fault, and we should be the ones to be punished.

They don't think it's an idea problem, they think it's a messaging problem.  Hopefully 2014 will be a painful year for them.  At this rate 2016 definitely will be.

I figgered it out. Republicans aren't this stupid.

They get elected to pick up a few million in kickbacks and bribes, and then try very hard to make sure they don't get re-elected because they want to retire to a life of screwing Vietnamese trannies on the beach.
