FC Exile: Anyone stupid enough to stick there head out the door after hearing gunshots in the hall shouldn't be a teacher.

There, their, they're.

The difference is important when you're calling other people stupid.

It's only going to take ONE hit to do better than the cops.

It's funny because the plural of "anecdote" is not data.

Z-clipped: super_grass: This is the dumbest and most absurd thing ever.

How would knowing when a school shooting happens stop one?

How would being able to quickly identify the sound and relative location of gunfire help you determine a route of escape that would avoid putting yourself and your students in the line of fire?

I don't usually use this word, but are you retarded?

You are starting to sound like that word.

You proved nothing.

StoPPeRmobile: You proved nothing.

You'd have to be a complete moron to think that being able to recognize the sound of gunfire and act without hesitation would be useless in a crisis situation.  It's like saying that, since you don't have a fire hose, it's useless to bother learning where the fire exits are.   Incredibly farking stupid.

Thingster: If it pops, he's shooting away from you. If it cracks, he's shooting towards you. If you didn't hear it, he's shooting at you

you've  either you've been shot from a distance... or you're dead.

Or you car stereo is TOO DAMN loud.

You miss the point completely. How does it "prevent?"

I didn't miss the point.  The point is a farking stupid red herring.

This measure isn't meant to prevent school shootings and the asshat OP knows it.  Nothing can prevent someone from shooting up a school if they have a gun and they're determined to do so. Being prepared minimizes casualties, and helps keep people safe when shiat goes down.

If you have to be moronically obtuse in order to make your point, it's probably not worth making.

How is it obtuse to ask a question?

How does it prevent? You state that it is "meant to prevent." How? I think you mean limit casualties. But on the other hand it just might set off some undiagnosed CEO psychopath that has been waiting for just this moment.

/oh my, these consequences are certainly unintended.

If you didn't hear it, you're dead was the intimation.

Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible coont... me.
