List sucks. Not because of who is or isn't listed, but because of the shiatty slideshow format. Not the slideshow itself, just the fact that half of the pages have a band, 1 sentence, another band, 1 sentence... It's like having a DailyFail article spread out over 4 pages.

List fails without the Honey Bees

The list fails without...

"Rob, thank you for that kind introduction. We're no longer called Sonic Death Monkey. We're on the verge of becoming Kathleen Turner Overdrive, but just for tonight, we are...Barry Jive and the Uptown Five!"

Does Ted's band from Scrubs count as a fictional band?
2013-03-15 07:14:07 PM

Toshiro Mifune's Letter Opener: Possibly applicable.

Nope, I know that link when I see it. Pw8s noodle dick.
2013-03-15 07:20:42 PM

Snapper Carr: Yeah, so they were basically a British ripoff of Spinal Tap but Bad News deserves at least honorable mention.
Except Spinal Tap was in 1984, and Bad News in 1983...

I was really hoping to see Timmy! and the Lords of the Underworld.

/No Stillwater also makes me sad
//No Vesuvius from The Rocker either?

Boyzvoice calls Shenanigans, asks why they weren't included...

Did you guys go to the Gasworks on Friday night? There was this band, Crucial Taunt. They had this mega-babe for a lead singer.

These guys would like a word with the author...
2013-03-15 07:25:30 PM
Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem put out an album.. Doesn't that qualify as real?

They were kind of a real band, too, though

Kind of off-topic, but I loved the running joke in Role Models about the nonexistent Wings song "Love Take Me Down (to the Streets)"
2013-03-15 07:41:20 PM
No Kinky Wizards?  Pfft.

List fails without "The Band with Rocks in" from the cartoon version of Terry Pratchett's "Soul Music":

2013-03-15 07:50:48 PM
Cell Block 4 or CB4 whichever you prefer.
2013-03-15 07:50:48 PM

Robin Sparkles / Robin Daggers, also.
2013-03-15 07:52:22 PM
2013-03-15 07:53:11 PM
The Commitments toured after the movie. So... they're a cover band of a fictional tribute band? Or is it a tribute band of a fictional cover band?

..oh, and where's Cold Slither? You'll be joining them soon, you know.
2013-03-15 07:53:19 PM
List fails without The Bedbugs.

The only picture I could find.

Lowell George being silly.

hoots_toot_ochaye: MaudlinMutantMollusk: Eddie and the Cruisers

That, plus The Commitments, and Strange Fruit.

I was wondering if any one else would remember SF. They actually had a good (well, decent) album.

Scum of the Earth, aka Detective.

Bonus: lead singer Michael des Barres was also Murdoc, who tried to kill MacGyver as often as the coyote did for the roadrunner.
