I don't have a nightstand because I flail around in my sleep and knock shiat over if it's within 2 feet og the edge of the bed.

Ukab the Great: Fleshlight, alarm clock, lube. Several sado-masochist homosexual devices (with blades). You know. For guests.

I'm just curious, when you watch Wheel of Fortune, do you imagine Vanna up there turning the letters wearing a see through nighty?

Alarm clock, lamp, boxers to cover alarm clock so I can sleep, glasses, and either tablet/whatever I was reading last. The boomstick is leaning up in the corner next to the nightstand. All the rest of my shiat stays on my desk.

On the nightstand is the TV remote, a lamp, the clock, the Nook, my cell phone and a bottle of the Q.

Inside it might as well be a farking Walgreens.

Smith & Wesson M&P-45, spare mag, flashlight, phone charger, lamp, book (or two) and usually a glass of water.

The Glock 19 is in my closet next to the bed on a high self ready with a loaded magazine of hollow points just waiting to be slam in to the gun. I have little kids so guns have to be out of reach.

2013-03-15 08:34:42 PM
Lamp, clock, tums, glasses, book, cellphone and Kleenex. Expired condoms in drawer but I'll never need them.

Should be a little farther out of reach, if you ask me which you didn't but I'm sayin anyway. Kids are notorious climbers, I know, I was one once.

Sir Cumference the Flatulent: stoppit: Ambivalence: A cpap and a clock radio. no room for anything else.

How's that working for you? I'm waiting on a prescription to calibrate a machine for my use. Was shocked to be diagnosed with severe apnea - looking forward to perhaps more productive sleep.

Team CPAP here. it probably saved my life and my marriage.

My son had his initial consultation apointment earlier this week and goes to the sleep lab next Thursday. They're already pretty certain he has sleep apnea and suggested he shave off his beard so the CPAP would be more effective, but so far he's adamantly refusing to do so.

AlwaysRightBoy: At 5 in the morning, each morning, my cat sits on the nightstand and knocks everything off until I get up and feed her.

Sometimes she gets way up on the dresser and knocks my money clip on the floor so the dogs can eat all my money:(

It's multipurpose in that regard. It's the civilian model too, so in a pinch, it even doubles as an electrifying sex toy.

When you say a negative, you're really implying the positive.  So, who or what is a Kyubey, and do I want one?  Come on, share with the class.

2013-03-15 09:39:06 PM
Glasses, lamp, deodorant, change bucket, Mosin Nagant, keys, flashlight and a water bottle.

I hate to tell you, but that's a repurposed cat bed that the cat graciously allows you to use as a table and why do you keep moving all the cat hair?

For the only reason possible.  To make room for more cat hair.

Clock Spider Jerusalem: a clock, a rock, & a sock.

They all got their uses.

This...is incredibly awesome.

Also, to the fellas who say they've got sex toys other than a "male" one in their nightstands- do you keep them there for easy access, or to initiate things? My wife keeps them in the one on her side of the bed. Mine's full of books.

Hermione_Granger: In my house, we have only one bedside table, which now holds only an alarm clock and a book.  The 4-year-old and 2-year-old will make off with anything of value (e.g., a portable book lamp, spare change, a Tylenol bottle), and so we keep these objects on higher ground.

I do not understand why a preschooler and an old enough toddler don't know enough not to rummage through Mom and Dad's stuff. Don't people teach their little snowflakes the word "No" anymore?

I'm trying to fathom getting balls enough to rummage through my mother's bedroom at any age and it's simply not possible.

Geesh

Baaaaahahahahahahaha
