Pangea: It's just a matter of time before accidents caused by verifiable, distracted driving result in insurance companies refusing to pay for damages to the party at fault. Considering it's against state law in NC, maybe they already do that.There are so many jackasses who text, drive and try to merge without signalling around here. No sympathy.
lack of warmth: MI is a no-fault state, and being that both drivers were equally at fault there likely won't be any lawsuits that will do anything. Their insurance companies will just replace their respective cars and raise their rates and the rates of everyone that lives in the same area.
