The homeless person was probably doing the whole family a favor. And if that Iphone was on Sprint I say we find this homeless man and make him a Lord and grant him land and title.

asscorethethird: theflatline: katerbug72: Watubi: I agree, a 3 year old does NOT need an iPhone.  An iPad or iTouch is far more appropriate.  It's also a great excuse for Dad to upgrade to the new model

This. My two and a half year old has taken over my iPod touch and now I would like to pass it on to him and get an iPad mini. The kid knows how to use it better than my husband and he's mostly careful with it.

Get him some lincoln logs, crayons, and coloring books.

Exactly.  It's bad enough we have farking grown adults walking around like the living dead... PHONES...  PHONES...

Way to pass on the bad habit to your children.  I would be totally 100% happy if cell phones just went away.

You sound old.

///bring back snail mail, and rotary phones, amirite?
////yeah yeah, get off my lawn...

Dragonflew: Today on Fark, I learned that giving a three-year-old a piece of fragile electronics worth hundreds of dollars to play with is "reasonable".

And I learned that there are a lot of judgmental douchenozles on fark.  You all are biatching about a mom giving her phone to her kid - all her choices and well within her right to do so - and you don't give a crap about the scumbag who decided to steal it for drugs.

Golf clap.  You've taken victim blaming to a whole new level.

As far as my parenting skills are concerned - go fark yourself with a pineapple.  My kid takes great care of the phones, he's never broken one and we have them in child proof cases.  It's not like we just let him zone for hours with the thing, it's a treat or a distraction for when he's stuck accompanying us to someplace that sucks.  The kid reads and does math better than average so take your ideal parenting idea and shove it so far up your self righteous bunghole that you can comment on the smell.

Dragonflew: I absolutely agree with the "a toddler does not need an iPhone", but it wasn't the kid's.  Still, it's pretty stupid letting a toddler play with one.

You don't have a toddler.  They are great for when you are doing something boring and necessary and have to have the kid in tow.

As for my kid, hell, he would have had to punch him to get him to let go of the phone!  Kid's a fighter and he has a DEATH GRIP on that phone.

In my day we didn't have cell phones to play with, we just jerked off all day.....and we liked it.

As the father of a toddler who frequently steals my iphone, all I can say is "Karma's a biatch kid, isn't it?"

Also: with a name like Aidan, he will be stealing his own Iphones in no time.

I never got robbed for candy, then again I never carried/flashed $500 worth of candy to be stolen either.
