kasmel: The very, very largest hurdle will be the app market. They'll need to get enough traction with the OS in the market for the Apps to follow, but they'll need enough apps to start with to get traction in the market. The same was said of Android when it first came out, "the apple app market is too established for android to be competitive anytime soon", and Android overcame, as much due to the google fan base among the development community as anything. I think that Tizen will have a tougher row to hoe. Not to say that it can't happen, just that I don't expect it to be very smooth.

farkeruk: It wasn't the fan base, it was that Android phones were considerably cheaper and more varied than the iPhone. And done before saturation happened, but we're pretty much there now.Seriously, I'm seeing so many conversions because of the Galaxy S3 and the Note, it ain't even funny.
