I admire your restraint.  I am also concerned for the huge manatees.

In fact, it is secretly being caused by wealthy boat owners who are tired of having to follow Manatee-protecting regulations.

On a related note, I am glad that the winter was cold enough that the likelihood of my water tasting terrible for three months this spring is low(er).

Probably dumping their septic tank in the ocean, causing blooms from their caviar poop

I personally feel like those people that trawl the Internet looking for stories/headlines that are trivially manipulated into referencing stale memes are sad, sad excuses for humans.  But whatever floats your boat, Fark.

Good effing riddance. All these manatees do is take up space and destroy the habitats of juvenile fish and crustaceans. The sooner all the manatees die out or are put in zoos the better.

Yes, because red tide and macroscopic algae are EXACTLY the same thing!

I live in southwest florida. The red tide is bad. I had to go out to the beach in Englewood a couple weeks ago for a job and I was coughing like crazy. It's a neurotoxin of some sort, I think I read somewhere. It's nasty stuff. My cough kept up for about a day after I left.

Also, one time I was swimming on Englewood Beach and three manatees came up to me and started circling, swimming all around me and the couple other people I was with. It was really cool. I reached out and petted one or two of them. I found out later that I was lucky I didn't get raped and killed from drowning and/or internal injuries due to all the raping. I guess they really have some giant penises and will pull you under and penis out your internal organs until they're all ruined or something. Anywho, I didn't get raped by any manatees, that's for sure. *whistles and walks away
