The guys at Apple must have been testing this when they were working on the maps program.

A little more than a decade ago, a local bar I used to spend some time at had the inspired idea of having onsite breathalyzers available to its patrons. The thinking was that people would use the breathalyzers to self-monitor their drinking and adjust their intake so that their chances of being arrested for a DUI would be drastically reduced. Or, if someone had actually consumed too much, they could verify that fact with a self-test and then either have someone drive them home or call a cab. What actually happened, of course, is that playing Breathalyzer became a favorite game of bar patrons, with whoever scored highest in any one match-up having his or her next round picked up by the loser. The program didn't last very long.

I suspect this will all unroll on a similar trajectory.
