It's not about the money. They want to see the poor suffer. They think poverty is proof that you are a bad person. If the poor don't suffer enough, they see it as an injustice.

It is like there is some some of farktard equilibrium in Congress.  Get rid of Allen West, and this flaming moron Cruz steps right in.  See that Texas, Florida is making you look stupid.

Sen. Ted Cruz says that he is expecting a vote Wednesday on his amendment to defund Obamacare until economic growth is restored, adding that he is willing to risk a government shutdown if Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and President Barack Obama stand in the way.

Ok, so they are going to defund 'obamacare' until the economy improves, which they will totally try to stymie with the sequestration, budget talks and a government shutdown. So how does the economy ever improve?

"I think it's the right position for Republicans to be taking," Cruz said. "And I think it would be exactly the right decision to then send it back to Harry Reid and President Obama and ask if Harry Reid and President Obama are willing to try to shut the government down in order to insist that Obamacare be fully funded now even though it could well push us into a recession."

The double speak is fascinating. He says he'll shutdown the government and then ask Obama and Reid why they were willing to shut it down. So he'll do mean and terrible things and then claim it wasn't his fault. That's what I take from this.

Enjoy your rising stars, Republicans.

Oh, look another Republican asshole showing his contempt for low-income Americans. That worked out great for you assholes in 2012. Keep it up.

They're going to try and force a shutdown over sour grapes.

Let's see if the American public still gives a damn about this story after the GOP has caused problem after problem after problem and cried and cried and cried about the sky falling over and over and over again.

Because poverty is God's way not only of telling you that you're lazy and worthless, but also an easy way for everyone else to know as well.  If the poors don't suffer in their poverty, they're going against God's plan and depriving the Job Creators (tm) of free entertainment.

/'cuz the rich are all about free.
//but not freedom
///except for the freedom to be poor and die in a ditch as cheaply as possible.
////so don't choose a nice ditch near the country club or you'll bring down property values.  What the hell were you thinking you stupid poor person?

In the run up to the election, I was predicting:  1) Big losses by the Republicans (which happened) and 2) This would cause the Republicans to reboot and reconfigure their stances on various issues to move back towards the mainsteam (boy, was I wrong).

How many times can they shut down the government before the next debt ceiling debacle in August?

FTFA:

"Cruz firstraised the prospect of a government shutdown on Monday, when he told conservative radio host Laura Ingraham that, in order to delay Obamacare funding, 'you've got to be willing to risk President Obama shutting down the government if he won't go along with it.'"

So, in this scenario, President Obama is shutting down the government by not responding to blackmail, and the Republicans who would be doing the shutting down wouldn't be shutting down anything. Clever.

Wow.  LOL!  It must really suck a LOT being a Republican these days.  You morons wanted to play these  "my team-your team" political football games, but all you've managed to do was wind up looking like a special ed class of gibbering, old, impotent morons.

Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-otten heart) shows GOP priorities:

Bridenstine added, however, that congressional Republicans are "afraid of a government shutdown and what that might mean for their reelection in 2014."

Never mind any side effects on the poors.

They think their lead in the House is due to the American public overwhelmingly supporting them, ignoring how they gerrymandered things to their advantage.

At least that's the latest talking point I've heard about why the President has no mandate and the how the Senate is a bunch of poopyheads that should be run by Republicans if it wasn't for that damn liberal media obsession with rape.

"Obamacare" became law in 2010. President Obama was re-elected in 2012. The Republicans have tried and failed numerous times to repeal it and have failed each time. The law was challenged and upheld by the Supreme Court.

And they are sill trying to get rid of it.

The Southerners took to Reconstruction after the Civil War better than these assholes are dealing with Obamacare.

Maybe you should consider evaluating health care in terms of quality instead of quantity as it relates to an efficient and effective system.
