The crowd was watching a game of buzkashi, a traditional Afghan sport akin to polo, where players on horseback use a headless goat carcass instead of a ball.

thursdaypostal: Quantum Apostrophe: durbnpoisn: Quantum Apostrophe: durbnpoisn: I cannot believe the lunacy of some cultures.  If you need something big and bulky, why can't you simply fassion something?  It makes no sense at all to slaughter a goat.

Their 3D printer was in the shop that day. Look, the normal state of human affairs for the vast majority of history didn't include a massive, world-wide oil-powered manufacturing capacity. All you had was what Nature saw fit to surround you with, that you could get at with hand tools.

So, what would they "fassion" something out of? Rocks? Dirt? A tree? A prisoner/slave?

I feel like using the goat to make actual leather and a durable 'ball' would be more economical than an untreated goat carcass. I mean, I'm sure the goat is eaten and whatever, it just seems like a waste of goat torsos.

Is there a shortage of goat torsos? Are we about to hit Peak Goat Torso?
