Whaa? a religious person doing something immoral? shocking.

Just run off to the Vatican and declare sanctuary from your crimes. Worked for Ratzinger

I find myself somewhat surprised that a nun would be voting in the first place.

More along the lines of civil disobedience. She was trying to help people she thought were being disenfranchised.

Dead people?

See, this is the result of mouth frothing about saying one side only wins because of rampant voter fraud... you're going to start seeing more of these kinds of stories...

human depravity spans the political party lines... it has been proven time and again that neither side are pure or guilt free...

So just remember, when you call for investigation into the other side's bad behavior, don't act all shocked and surprised when it comes to light your side is doing it too...

If you can't vote for dead people in America, just who in hell can you vote for?

Civil disobedience is a public act designed to draw attention to something unjust, like refusing to pay taxes you know will support a war you disagree with, or blockading a street to draw attention to discrimination against a group.

Secretly undermining the voting process because you disagree with a candidate isn't civil disobedience.

FTFA: Russell Glassop, 75, allegedly voted on behalf of his dead wife.

/what, did he wear his wife's clothes and makeup to do that?

The important question is who did she vote for.

Mietsko: Whaa? a religious person doing something immoral? shocking.

You will find more moral issues from the priest side of things. Nuns are pretty decent

/a little bias, I have an aunt who is a nun, sweetest lady I know.

Shockingly, even though the church put the full court press on to get rid of him, she voted for Obama.

I thought Chicago was the only place where dead people were allowed to vote.

I've been told repeatedly in these threads that this never happens and there's absolutely no reason to take any steps to curtail it.

Cinci is ultra-right-wing, and as paranoid as they were down there, Im willing to guess a Romney vote was what she aimed for.

City council is all Democrat (and maybe a Charterite?).  Mayor is Democrat.  What does an ultra-left wing city look like?

Hamilton County, then.

Kind of like how Ohio voted for Obama but most of the legislature and the Governor are Republicans.

The listed woman wont reveal who she voted for. There is a similar case in the same area where a Democratic Pollster voted multiple times.

Pretty much this, but this thread has reminded me of what someone once reminded me about arguing with idiots; It's like teaching a pig to sing: it wastes your time and annoys the pig.

Hamilton County went Obama both times.

The prosecutor was on the radio yesterday and said the votes were for Obama.

Interesting. Im somewhat surprised. For years Hamilton county was about as a red as they came. The suburbs of Cinci are incredibly upper-middle-class.

I take exception to this statement. I taught a pig to sing once. It's not my fault that the Metropolitan Opera wouldn't sign her to a contract.

where did you come by this information?

I checked both articles and neither confirmed who the accused voted for, the only mention of parties is in comments from the Hamilton County Board of Elections Chairman.
The cincy article speculates on the democractic and republican board of election members feeling without providing any quoted material from any members, so that paragraph is complete speculation...

So other than the cincy article mentioning "democratic process" and "said Hamilton County Board of Elections Chairman Tim Burke, a Democrat", and "Democratic Board of Elections"... where did you find where someone's vote, a private matter, is suddenly revealed to the public?

CeroX: where did you come by this information?

It was on 700 WLW yesterday.  I heard it on the radio.  I will go see if it says it on the website.  I was surprised, because of all the pressure the Catholic Church applied due to the abortion/health care law issue.

Aww, i don't think Dynsacape is an idiot.  But I agree, arguing with idiots sucks.

However, we'd all probably be a lot happier, as human beings, if we stopped turning everything into a political pissing contest.   IMHO

I have to know which candidate she voted for so I know whether to be outraged or to make excuses for her.

2013-03-13 11:06:33 AM
Happens more  than you think, but not enough to be rampant. I remember during the 2000 election I was working at an answering service. A man was calling his US Rep in Congress, a Republican in a state that has no Democrats, and requesting an absentee ballot for himself and his wife, He then went to almost brag that he would fill the ballot out for his wife because she had Alzheimers.
So yeah, both parties and it's still wrong.

Round them up and make them watch a Ron Jeremy video.  That'll teach 'em.

Because she obviously got away with it and is now flaunting her criminal status to the authorities, via a series of clever riddles, right Cletus?

that's your problem right there...

WLW is worse than fox news... i would venture to say that the information they are spreading is at best inaccurate for their political slant and more likely, an outright lie...

i won't even listen to sports on WLW anymore because how bad they've gotten since 2000ish

2013-03-13 11:14:07 AM
Man, you just don't expect there to be voter fraud where dead people vote for Democrats.  This is unprecedented!

Maybe, but if you look at how the Vatican treated Nuns, especially in the US, it may not be as shocking.
Although Nuns will adhere to the rules more closely it seems then the priests, they are also more tolerant of people.

Of course, I went to a catholic school that wasn't full of nuns and priests, only know a few personally and never a bad experience and they are all Canadian.
I'm not sure if they get the same shiat as Nuns here in the US get.

If you think about it, it's about as disenfranchised as you can get.

Mammy's family name is Cunningham, from Co. Monaghan. Imagine my relief to learn his family is from Cork.

WLW on air personalities are indeed ridiculous, but their news reports tend to be factual as far as I know.
