"Fighting words". If I am waiting at a bus bench with a black man, and he calmly opines that "honkeys" are the curse of humanity, and that we should all DIAF, I have no beef with that. If he advances on me, fists doubled, screaming that he is going to "rip my head off and shove it down my throat!", he has given me legal grounds to commence defending myself, as many courts have ruled, and will continue to rule.
