(NW Florida Daily News)   Don't you hate it when you try to purchase a 32-ounce bottle of Magnum and a bottle of Schlitz Bull Ice from a convenience store and the clerk says you're going to have to wait twenty minutes until beer sales start up again at 7am?   ( divider line

Yup. CSB: It's particularly rough when you wake up in an open field with coyote women on each arm. Worse when after chasing off the hags, you get turned down at the 7-11 and wander back into the bar you were in 5 hours before, only to be harassed by your bro's regaling you with your drunken exploits the night before... "Dude, you walked in before closing with those two skanks and were actually PROUD of them!" "What happened to you, anyway?" Well, I woke up in this open field... thought about chewing off both arms but...

and the laffs keep on comin'

/drunken man-whore I was...that was a particularly bad night...they SEEMED pretty at 2:00 AM...

nekom: I don't think I'll ever understand this, maybe it's because I grew up in Pennsylvania.  You KNOW what time alcohol sales are, and you KNOW if you're going to want to have a supply of beer on any given day.  It does not take much planning to ensure the steady flow of alcohol.

It's not the planning that's hard, it's the execution. If the liquor store is closed on Sunday, it's easy to say, "Just buy your Sunday booze on Saturday. Dummy," But if you buy your Sunday booze on Saturday, how do you keep from drinking it on Saturday? And when you do drink it on Saturday, that just means your hangover on Sunday is that much worse, and then you really need that Sunday booze. And you can't get it.

payattention: No, what I hate is when I want to comment using something other than that devil-incarnate Facebook, and they give me other options, and each option just wants you to use your info and ID from those other options to sign into Facebook! I have not had, do not have and will not have a Facebook account. Why is that so difficult for other people to accept????

scottydoesntknow: It's a tiny bit of power that prohibitionists still hold onto. Maybe they think you'll come to Jesus during the times you can't purchase the devil's nectar.

I don't know much, but I do know this. if I ever start distilling whiskey I'm gonna bottle it and call it The Devil's Nectar.

You can expect checks to come your way in the future.

MyKingdomForYourHorse: I'll never understand timed alcohol sales, people will find a way to get their booze one way or the other. Indiana has no sales on Sunday so everyone here just goes up to Michigan to get it. When you point out the lost sales and tax revenue some State Reps just shiat their pants and babble incoherently.

I don't get it
