(NW Florida Daily News)   Don't you hate it when you try to purchase a 32-ounce bottle of Magnum and a bottle of Schlitz Bull Ice from a convenience store and the clerk says you're going to have to wait twenty minutes until beer sales start up again at 7am?   (nwfdailynews.com) divider line 1

nekom: I don't think I'll ever understand this, maybe it's because I grew up in Pennsylvania.  You KNOW what time alcohol sales are, and you KNOW if you're going to want to have a supply of beer on any given day.  It does not take much planning to ensure the steady flow of alcohol.

It's not the planning that's hard, it's the execution. If the liquor store is closed on Sunday, it's easy to say, "Just buy your Sunday booze on Saturday. Dummy," But if you buy your Sunday booze on Saturday, how do you keep from drinking it on Saturday? And when you do drink it on Saturday, that just means your hangover on Sunday is that much worse, and then you really need that Sunday booze. And you can't get it.
