I'll never understand timed alcohol sales, people will find a way to get their booze one way or the other. Indiana has no sales on Sunday so everyone here just goes up to Michigan to get it. When you point out the lost sales and tax revenue some State Reps just shiat their pants and babble incoherently.

Don't know about that.  In college some friends used to work midnight to 6am restocking so when they got off of work they would stop for a cold one.

Went scuba diving in  Curacao and we went on the Amstelbrewery tour.  It started a 9am and it was all you could drink while on the tour.  When the cruise ship seniors looked at each other in shock the hostess told us beer was just like toast grain, yeast and water so beer for breakfast was like tow pieces of wheat toast.

Florida tag comes up because it is a weirdo magnet.  Most people in Florida are transplants anyway.  This individual was just completing a required task for citizenship.

I remember some guy on the radio who was sent out for a remote broadcast complaining ON AIR: "Did you guys know you can't get beer in Dekalb county before 8am?"

Also, I'm also one that doesn't understand why we still have timed alcohol sales.  In New York, it used be you couldn't buy beer before noon on Sundays, but several years ago they finally changed it to 8 a.m.  However, counties can make stricter laws.

Stores were open only Monday-Friday. I remember huge lineups before holidays
You had to fill out a GOVERNMENT PURCHASE ORDER FORM each time, (supposedly so the nosy provincial "seat-warmers" could check on how much you were buying and could cut you off!) for each purchase, and wait in a line to buy your booze
The clerks were your typical unionized government clerks. Slow as those you deal with getting licenses.
You'd wait in line only to find they were out of stock and had to fill out a new form and wait in line AGAIN.

Granted, things could really stand some improvement. But things have be MUCH WORSE.

The garbage trucks would pull up to my local bar in Philly since it opened at 6am and they got take so they had something to drink while riding around in a 20 ton trash truck boozed up.

When I worked the over night shift from 6:30pm to 6:30am I used to grab beer at 7.
