Porto is playing rugby. Absolutely murdering Malaga players without a whistle.

ScouserDuck: Rwa2play: Eunuch Provocateur: ScouserDuck: So...I made a joke about Messi being elected pope yesterday. Apparently i wasn't far off.

Yeah I saw that, I think we can settle the whole Messi v Ronaldo debate. Ronaldo scores penalties, Messi scores surrounded by five defenders, disrupting the very fabric of the universe and shaping world events

The world may, just may, be praying for a Real/Barca final @ Wembley.  They'll be some other sides that will have a say in that however.

No. If that happens La Liga fans may become almost as insufferable as SEC fans.

I would prefer an all German final, just to see the tabloid headlines

Not at all the scoreline I was expecting, but it's been a great first half for the Gunners.

So, not that it's going to happen, but if it does, if it's 3-3(2-2) do they do extra time, then penalties, or straight to pks?

No. BM has 3 away goals vs Arsenals 2

If aggregate is tied with equal away goals, yeah there's two 15 minute OT then penalties

Yes and i am very tired after staying up to see it last night. Tonight i will probably stay up to see if Dynamo and LA Galaxy can join Sounders in CCL semi-finals.

Of course if Arsenal do pull off the miracle, they will be missing at least 18 players in the next round.

Yeah, look at the stats and really Arsenal were lucky to win. Fabianski played really well and had plenty of work to do. 45% of possession and being outshot by about 4-1 is not a formula for consistent success.

In the last 3 CL seasons, Arsenal have beaten Barcelona, AC Milan, and Bayern Munich in the knockout round, but failed to advance each time. What a kick in the danglers.

Sorry but that's not the argument should be going with. They know it's a two-leg tie. They've had some unlucky draws to be honest. There are 4-5 teams I would have rather played at this point

It's like the clubs that put in their wiki article that they knocked off Real Madrid or Manchester United back in '92... yea they beat them, after they were crushed in the first leg.

Oh, I understand that. I was more commenting on their incosistency. They are obviously capable of getting a great result, but at the same time incapable of putting 2 good performances together.

Very true. They're almost a shoe-in to get out of the group, and a shoe-in for an early exit in the knockouts

I was also getting flashbacks of Bayern last year in the CL final. They were supposed to crush Chelsea who sneaked in by parking the bus vs Barca and they fell apart at home. They very nearly did the same tonight

Sorry I couldn't join y'all this go round - missed the match, too. Having a bit of a family tragedy that I've had to rush home for a few days and handle. But man, looks like I missed a good one.

I've gotta say, while I never want to see them lose, this isn't a bad loss. They played very well, built a lot of confidence, and can now focus on fourth place without distraction. I don't believe they had it in them to win the CL, so this isn't a terrible result.
