As long as van Persie and Fabregas are in form, there's no way Arsenal can lose!

Good a thread.. I thought after mine went red hours ago that the mods were just going to let it go since the last few had been trolltastic shiatfests.

Erm, about that...............

Also in bad for Arsenal news, Sczeczny didn't make the trip with the team, so Fabianski is in goal for the away leg.

Aresenal is done, but no one is going to be too surprised if Messi drops 4 or 5 on Milan today. Especially without their groundskeeper to cheat for them.

Is there any other team in the Premier League that has their top two goalies share the same nationality? I can't even think of a team carrying two Englishmen in goal in the EPL right now.

I saw the odds were 35:1 for Arsenal to advance. Thinking about putting a fiver down just for shiats and giggles.

No, I don't think they'll advance. But I'd like to see them get a goal in the first half just to keep it interesting.

I think they only get 1 goal today. Milan will be knocking him down all day again. But damn if i dont want Messi getting a hat trick today

And with Alex Song in the middle feeding it upfield, the defense has never looked better!

How did Barca go from invincible to underdogs in just a few weeks?

Bad run of form. Losing to Real's B team, then Real's A team, The AC Milan in the space of a week and a ahlaf will cause people to start asking questions about you.

2013-03-12 03:50:48 PM
And there's one.

Holy Christ!

If its going to happen for Arsenal, they need a 5-star performance from Walcott. 5-2 gets it done

2013-03-12 03:51:40 PM
Well that didn't take long.

MESSI!

Here we go, this might be interesting.

Messi is a freak. Great goal.

Commentator said earlier he's scored in his last 17 La Liga matches. Extraordinary.

Yes, I'm aware, but faith in Barca seems to be especially weak. I attribute it to skepticism of the Barca style and the relative small size of their players, and maybe their lack of emphasis on defense.

This just in. Reports from the Vatican report white smoke drifting from the conclave chimney. The story coming from an inside source that a Dark Horse by the name of Lionel Messi has been named the next Pope. Explanation as to breaking previous practice of naming an existing cardinal was scoffed away with the claim that this was "clearly God's will".

That looked like a penalty.

I think it's more hope in their diminishing form than lack of faith. People know Barca on their day are unstoppable, they're just hoping that age of the players, number of games played, something, anything is finally catching up to them so someone else has a chance.

Well, then they probably need to hope for La Masia to burn down. <_<

Wesley and Didier might be exiting the CL.

It's wired, my fs2g stream isn't showing score or time for the game.

Oh Milan... How did you miss that?

El is going to be kicking himself for missing that chance.

Train is rolling down the tracks now, picking up steam.  Milan looks like they are about to get plowed.

I blame the 1st leg loss on the tequila sunrise kits. This looks like an entirely different team. Same could be said of Milan too.

It was that joke of a pitch more than anything. That thing looked like no mans land in WW1.

Two for Gala!

Altintop, then Yilmaz. Looks like Turkish delight moving on.

Most don't want 1 much less 2 English keepers.

2013-03-12 05:13:07 PM
Schalke has tied it, but they still need another due to away goals.

2013-03-12 05:14:27 PM
How to turn Americans into soccer fans is to simply have them watch Messi and Barca operate. I have converted a few people over the CL to watching soccer just on his games alone. That and they always ask me Ronaldo looks like such a d-bag. I simply say...because when you are that talented you can be.

Not so fast my friend...Milan just need 1.

And to hold barca.

Arsenal could be in the final 9 teams remaining, depending on how much stoppage time they get tomorrow

No Boateng, Schweinsteiger or Ribery for Bayern tomorrow. Hmmmmm

Milan have looked like scoring a grand total of twice this match and have missed both. They can't get a hold of the ball and even when they do, they can't seem to string together any passable attempts at going forward. While they just need one garbage goal to move through. it is highly more likely that Barca get a fourth and put this to bed.
