He tells the truth for once and everybody comes down on him for it. Typical.

Hey, at least he's being honest for a change!

Over zealous unconscious. Non story.

I still can't figure how Paul Ryan can claim to be any sort of christian.  nothing he believes in echos the teachings of the christian god.

2013-03-12 02:51:10 PM
Sounds like he told the truth, for once.

Good for him.

what worries me are the people who call him the "sane" one of the House GOP

fark, Boehner is more sane than this bastard. At least he wants to strike a deal, Cantor just kills every single farking deal

You know, these jerkoffs make it really hard for someone like me to parody them when they make themselves a joke. That's my job. You're taking jobs away from slothful Americans, Mr. Paul.

2013-03-12 02:53:18 PM
Good.  Obamacare is little more than an updated T-4 program.

2013-03-12 02:53:25 PM
He will be in the Republican primary for President in 2015.  He has not yet begun to gaffe.

2013-03-12 02:53:47 PM
Holy crap...he really said that.

Wow.

2013-03-12 02:53:51 PM
Ryan plan repeals HCRA but keeps the tax increases. It also mentions simplifying tax code to two brackets. One taxed at 10%, the other at 25%. However no mention of the income that would put you in the higher bracket.

Ryan is just the idea man. You figure out the details.

His budgets aren't crazy. They just assume ridiculous growth while instituting massively regressive tax systems, a medicare voucher program that would destroy health care for older Americans...all while not touching defense spending and providing massive tax relief to wealthy Americans. He's just really good at math.

Smeggy Smurf: Good.  Obamacare is little more than an updated T-4 program.

And it's kept my mom, who is dying of cancer, from being dropped by her asshole insurance company. So feck off.

We should have elected him to figure it out. Much like the rest of Romney's plans and McCain's knowledge of Osama's whereabouts.

Can't we just get back to bankrupting the sick like we did before the socialism leftist health black helicopters ACORN??

2013-03-12 02:56:36 PM
We are going to provide more effective care for less money while outsourcing it all to for-profit companies.

"This is something we will not give up on because we are not going to give up on destroying the health care system for the American people."

seems legit.
It really is too bad his political party would use Americans as hostages to gain political power.

2013-03-12 02:57:19 PM
It's the most honest thing he's said in quite some time.

During his convention speech I remember him saying something like (and I am paraphrasing here) "The mark of a great nation is in how well it treats its elderly and its sick," and I couldn't help but think that this guy has been trying to gut the health care system and social safety net for years.

If the GOP considers this guy their best and their brightest, it does explain why the lesser of the party is wandering around and telling anyone who will listen about the benefits of rape.

Ryan's proposed change: Ryan would increase defense spending by $500 billion over 10 years, canceling the sequester.

Because People in power are Stupid: He's no stranger to big insurance,

Wait--but don't most of the insurance companies stand to profit massively from ACA?

2013-03-12 03:00:41 PM
Obamacare is the law of the land and they want to destroy it. Makes perfect sense to me.

If this isn't gaffing, the primaries will be entertaining.

They aren't sure. They want the additional premiums, but not the pre existing sickies.

Well, obviously you can't go back to the idyllic 50s without also bringing back the crippling infectious diseases and mortality rates of the 50s, can you?

Gergesa: Freudian slip.

I don't think so.  Paul Ryan has shown, time and time again, that he's not really even remotely close to a smart human being.  I think he honestly believed that what he was saying would be seen as a good thing.  The dude is really is that stupid.

its interesting, isn't it?  these are the same people who demand absolute unquestioning obedience to the law and yet, here we've got a law they do not like and now refuse to obey.  I wonder how they reconcile the internal contradictions of their ideology?
