vento: Huge sections of A and B are boarded up 2/3rds of the way down. And F gates are now a parking lot for TSA and the inside is an overflow security checkpoint for the rare times when the one at the landside concourse is backed up.PIT was a great airport when it was built (to the specs of then-USAir). Unfortunately, it's been completely underutilized for about the past 10 years.
Detinwolf: I prefer wandering the land of confusion aka STL's hallways.
HaywoodJablonski: Once again, when you serve a homogenous population of 500,000 it's easy to look like superstars. Get a real city with real traffic and then we'll talk.I'd have to give the prize for best LARGE airport to Hartsfield in Atlanta
Perducci: "I am proud of their dedication and I especially thank our front-line staff who greet our guests and keep our facilities clean, safe, and operational around the clock," Dundan said in a news release.Well it's certainly uncontaminated by tourists and business travelers.
Dinkledort: There are over 1.5 million in the metropolitan area.

There are over 1.5 million in the metropolitan area. But that's ok, you were only off by a factor of 3. Also Indy is 25% black. Perducci: "I am proud of their dedication and I especially thank our front-line staff who greet our guests and keep our facilities clean, safe, and operational around the clock," Dundan said in a news release.Well it's certainly uncontaminated by tourists and business travelers.Ha ha! It's funny to make fun of stuff! But be careful you know what you're talking about first or you'll look like a stupid tool. Guess you didn't know Indianapolis is home to the largest single-day sporting event in the world, plus a couple others that must be top 10. Also a rapidly expanding convention town. Just completed a huge convention center expansion. But whatever, yours was funnier. That said, there is definitely truth to the claim that it's an easy airport because of low traffic. But that has little to do with the population or tourist traffic. It's that it's not a hub for any of the airlines, despite the central location. Too close to Chicago. It's a FedEx hub, but they don't use the terminal.
MyKingdomForYourHorse: Staff there are well aware of how quickly you want to leave this god forsaken state, so they sympathize with your plight and work hard to get you out fast.
tonyfo98: Mikey1969: Nope, best airport in North America, hands down, is Portland International Jetport in Maine. 13 gates, a nice pub in the center where you can watch any gate from, nice view(Green grass, houses, hills). None of the typical airport bullshiat. I don't have to march across a mile or more of building to find yet another terminal to get lost in.Only airport I've been to that didn't actually make me angry. So much this!
Enigmamf: I think this is something where you really need experts to survey, rather than users. Users of various airports generally come from a particular region, so their expectations are shaped by very different experiences. Someone flying from regional back-country airports in China will be much more impressed by Shanghai airport than someone who is used to airport-hopping through the major US airports.
