What sounds? In space, no one can hear you scream, right?

There are ways, you just can't use the atmosphere as the medium through which the sound vibration travels.  You can bounce a beam of light off of something which is vibrating and determine the precise way it's vibrating from the reflection, and then turn that into sound.

Not sure if making a Star Trek 4 reference, or just complaining.

Yeah...yawn. Modern music on classical instruments is always a horrible idea. Oh how edgy, weird key and time signatures. Oh and what's that, having dissonance every where, that will make it sound so cool! Music like this is one of the worst forms of music. It's the same as using sirens for instruments and thinking you are doing something creative or making it sound good.
