As someone who deals with kids every day I have to say this is silly and sad at the same time. The teen juggalos I have met are no different than those of us in the 80s with green hair or who listened to Cannibal Corpse or dressed up to go to Rocky Horror. They stand out in a crowd, are fans of bad self-important music and like to party. The FBI is just being an old man shouting at people to get off their lawn. Why must we criminalize children just because they're "wierd"?

From the Weeners:  "...The local sheriff was pulling cars over constantly and searched my son's car while he was on his way home from work, he didn't even go to the concert."

Sounds like it's the godmamn COPS are the ones that are the danger here. I wonder how many charges resulted from this fishing expedition?

And, the FBI by definition is an organization based mostly on the paranoia of a bunch of "suits", who have a history of labeling musicians as terrorists - eg John Lennon,

Farkin' Civil Rights - HOW DO THEY WORK?

I was a teen in the 1970's, when Alice Cooper was considered the antichrist. Parents were actually upset over him and his persona. That is why parents today saw Marilyn Manson and went, "meh". Each young generation has to find new ways to shock their parents.

The US government targeting private citizens based solely on specious evidence? If only we had precedent this wouldn't be so shocking...

On March 1, 1990, Steve Jackson Games' offices in Austin, Texas were raided by the U.S. Secret Service. The manuscript for GURPS Cyberpunk was confiscated ... More than three years later, a federal court awarded damages, ruling that the raid had been carelessly executed, illegal, and completely unjustified.

Yeah, except I think ICP is older then Manson.

Which is hilarious when you consider a bunch of 45-50 year old men singing about "farking the man"

Shine one light on these twerps and they scatter and stutter out "B...B...But w-w-weeeeee were just kidding! We won't hurt anyone in reeeeeal life officer!"

You obviously haven't considered what it would mean when anybody anywhere who happens to own a single ICP cd is considered by the FBI to be a gang member.

Except that's not the conclusion the FBI had come to. They said that an extreme faction of the group had splintered off into hooliganism, and was worth keeping an eye on. This doesn't mean some dillweed who smokes pot and paints his face a couple of times per year is going to have black helicopters circling above his shiatty apartment.

As much as I hate to criticize the younger generations weirdness, as they are no different in that regard from their parents or even their grandparents, I will say this. The Juggs are the guys that show up at a metal show, pal up with the Straight Edge assholes, and start breaking up the place when they are asked to leave after one of them shoves a bouncer from behind for enforcing the age limit or rejecting a home-printed ID card at the door. I've seen 26 year old guys with a drunk 11-12 year old girl in tow, all gooped up with that clown makeup shiat try to start something with the biggest bouncer in town for not letting her into the Greenroom to "meet the band".

the only reason the juggalos get this kind of negative attention is because they have a name for their group and can be identified because of it.  i would think fans of a band like cannibal corpse might attract equal amounts of negative attention, but cannibal corpse fans don't have a name for their group and don't advertise their fandom like juggalos do.  since law enforcement is incredibly lazy, of course they'll go after the fan group that identifies itself.  cops aren't going to investigate cannibal corpse fans because they would actually have to do work to figure out who the fans actually are.

Looks like a styrofoam cooler to me. But maybe it is a real coffin.

One way or the other, it would make an awesome cooler.

I live near where they hold the "Gathering of the Juggalos", and the FBI is exaggerating when they compare it to violent gangs. However, they're not simply whiny teens or people wearing Cannibal Corpse shirts. There's a larger amount of vandalism and violence than normal concert events, and the local town has to waste money every year hiring extra police.

And it means I had to be within twenty miles of Pauly Shore and Tila Tequila.

This.  Seriously, they're friggin' groupies, FFS.  And not even groupies for a GOOD band!

A bunch of fanboys and emo chicks with too much time on their hands and not enough parents smacking them upside the head when they do stupid shiat.

They got a lot of shiat from their long-time fans when they went all "concept album-y" for a while, but I thought it was exactly the right thing for them to do. You can't be punk-pop heroes forever, so why not try to be Pete Townshend instead?

And fwiw, it worked pretty well. But their new "back to our roots" stuff blows goats.

Part of the problem is that these idiots attract mostly stinky inbred violent white trash mouth breathing morons. One of them is bad enough, but get a big bunch of them together and it's geometrically more
of a problem.. A bunch of stupid impulsive people who are drunk or whacked out on some other
substance and work together could be pretty dangerous..

We have no space for  murderers. We have black people and pot heads to arrest.

Their shows are quite another thing entirely different from 80's kids.

The crowds grow so unruly they have advised artists performing at their own shows not to go on, for fear of being assaulted.

Of course, they all take place up in the woods out where police won't show up.

Drugs are not only exchanged openly, but in volume.

Yes, kiddie juggalos in high school are harmless kids.

The juggalos organizing their "family events" are much less harmless then a bunch of kids.

/what a shiat band regardless
