Is Bieber going to become the next Michael Jackson, with his own private amusement park and his kids wearing blankets in public?

SlothB77: Is Bieber going to become the next Michael Jackson, with his own private amusement park and his kids wearing blankets in public?

nah.  he has an extremely limited shelf life.  in 10 years (or less) he will be one of two things - forgotten, or a "celebrity" that shows up from time to time on crappy reality tv.

See Kevin Federline....that....

Srsly tho..he might survive the nightmare wave of publicity by accidentally stapling his dick to 'lil twists' chin..

Between that and the incident where they threw rocks at Nickelback to force them off the stage, I'd say that their tolerance for shiatty music is quite low.

as someone who has played in bands where 5 people show up and the energy was great and we all had a great time, this kind of thing reminds me why I hate the "music business". Sure I'll never be rich but at least I appreciate people who take the time to support what I do.

/probably wasn't his decision
//he's a puppet with a team of handlers making decisions

And drugs are quasi-legal. That's no coincidence.

Wasn't there a show The Police did where there was like five people in the audience?

I just went to a make up concert for Alfie Boe that had been canceled last October because of Sandy.  It was a very small sound stage with folding chairs, and maybe 50 people at most (because they broke up the audience by which venue sold them)- and it was incredibly fun.  He made lots of jokes and did a bunch of cover songs, and people got up and danced.

Not that I feel sorry for anyone missing out on a Justin Beiber concert, but it seems that he's taking a popularity dive right now, and it sucks that they got the bad end of it.

I honestly can't tell if his attitude is: "Well, I chose to make music for 12 year old girls so I'm riding the gravy train while it lasts," or if it's: "My music is important, why don't people see that?"

No one in my family, who all live in Portugal, knew about the Nickleback incident. I remember asking them when I first heard about it and they we're totally oblivious to it.

My 14 year cousin doesn't like Bieber but she's in love with One Direction. So there's that.

I think he decided he wants to be a club-hopping playboy when he grows up. Because, you know, that's a totally sustainable thing and won't collapse around you at any moment.

Surely he doesn't think his music is important. Of course his ego is getting in the way of reality.

Bieber has been on the outs for a year or two at least. One Direction is the new Bieber. This is just awesome awesome downward spiralling (as another farker said above).

Uh, Bieber is a moron and I dislike him with the rest of us cool kids, but he has hundred of millions. His great-grandkids will never have to work.

More proof that Money is a stupid substance, and that working your ass off for it is a fallacy. There is no reason, and Bieber is proof of how retarded the human race is.

Ask MC Hammer how that's going. It doesn't matter how much money you have; there's always a way to blow every dime of it.

This Bieber clown reminds me of the child star character in Tom hanks' The Money Pit who he has to ask for a loan. Totally spoiled, totally detached from reality and his mother is his maid.

I keep hearing that this kid is worth over 100 million. With all of his managers and agents and handlers, and all the other middlemen of the music business, I just don't see how. And looking at this list, which he apparently hasn't been able to break into, makes the claim even more dubious. Perhaps I'm offbase, but I just can't figure out how he'd have that kind of money. $10-50 million sure, but over 100? Just not buying it.

Gotta say that my 13yo niece used to have a bad case of Bieber fever, but has since gotten over it.

Is this any indication that the dudes 15 minutes are over? Not necessarily. But, his ilk has a tremendously short shelf life. And of course, he doesn't seem to be making very good decisions right now. But hell, dude is 18. We were all dumb asses at that age. His ass hatery just has the distinction of being very well funded and on public display.

He does indeed seem to doing the Britney Spears/ Lindsey Lohan burn out routine. What is the crop we are looking to bolster this season?

I was born in Lisbon and spent my summers in Portugal until I was 19. I think of it as home so I'm glad to see your post!

Sintra is one of my favorite spots, I love the hike up to the Moorish castle on the hill.

If Justin's popularity is fading, I wonder who will be the next teen hearthrob that the fat ugly old rich white men will shove in our faces?

Oh well, at least the corn harvest will be good this year.

Jone's career took a bit of a nosedive after The Monkees went off the air (you don't think he did that cameo on Brady Bunch because he wanted to, do you?). It's just that he at least had his backup plan to become a jockey and didn't become a whiny poutbaby.

It's just the nature of the beast. The Jonas Brothers used to be the hot teen sensation - then Justiin Bieber came along and now they're yesterday's news. Now that One Direction is the new Flavor Of The Month, it's Justin's turn to join the JoBros in the great dustbin of irrelevance.

If Justin manages not to die from a heroin overdose or a freak dildo accident on the set of a gay porno in the next 10 years, then maybe he can taste some of his former glory in a nostalgia tour with The Wanted and everyone in N'Sync than isn't Justin Timberlake. .

We'll ether take his money at the table in a casino, or some wiley chick will rake it all in.
Either way, some fat, sloppy, drunk lady at table #4 will leave a snail trail when he takes her order at the Mall of America's Apple Bees in 10 years.
