I can't afford to care. And this wasn't 'news'.

Ah, but you care just barely enough to spend time posting about how you don't care.

Listen I don't care a thing about Britney's new CD but I don't go to her forum to tell her fans this.

Listen up.  Splooge Time is the one telling you how it is.  Not only should we like it, we should have his wisdom tattooed on our asses so we never forget.

I prefer my wisdom tattooed backwards on my tongue so
I can enjoy it when I brush my teeth .

The site was founded by Michelle Malkin, of course it didn't portray the First Lady in a good light.

Gergesa: You just know they are dying to say "You stupid N*****, it is called the White House for a reason!!!  Now get out!!!"

Or something equally classy along those lines.

Jules Manson, California Tea Party Candidate, posted the following to his facebook account:
"Assassinate the f*cken n*gger and his monkey children."

I know that was pretty bad, right?  Well, I'm sorry if that disturbed you.  Would you like to hear a funny joke?  How about this zinger that a board member of the Ozark Tea Party, Inge Marler, uses to open up her speeches:
"A black kid asks his mom, 'Mama, what's a democracy?'
"'Well, son, that be when white folks work every day so us po' folks can get all our benefits.'
"'But mama, don't the white folk get mad about that?'
"'They sho do, son. They sho do. And that's called racism.'"

Of course, there's always this photo of Dale Robertson, one of the top members of the Tea Party leadership, holding a patriotic sign.  I'd also like to mention that teaparty.org, which was registered to Mr. Robertson at the time, edited this photo to make the sign say "I work for u" to avoid owning up to his actions/words.  How brave.

/The list goes on and on
//these aren't just some nutjobs that vote TP, these are their leaders

It's legit, and furthermore he was on the radio twisting himself in knots defending the usage of that word.  He also thinks he spelled it correctly.

Gergesa: Hmmm that is some really bad photoshopping.  I can't say I am too surprised by the sentiment expressed though, these types really seem to be coming out of the woodwork during the Obama presidency.

When I was in college, some guy sitting next to me in a student lounge decided he thought I was a safe person to be racist around. He started spouting off a bunch of racist shiat and eventually he asks, "You know what I mean?" I just looked at him for a moment before a friend of mine walked up and said, "Hey! What's up?" So I turned to my friend and said, "This guy was just telling me about how racist he is." My friend asks him, "Oh? Really? You're racist?" The guy looks a bit nervous and says, "No... no... I didn't say anything-" and I interrupted with, "Come on... tell him the racist bullshiat you were just telling me." The guy says, "What the fark is this?" So I said, "Your coming out party, I guess." My friend laughed, the guy said, "Fark this", and got up and walked away. My friend and I just watched him walk away and then looked at each other and laughed.

So... it's kind of like that. Only it's the internet, so the people who are saying racist stuff don't think it will ever come back to haunt them. They think it's "safe".

Of course it does. You only have to look at it's creator, Michelle Malkin, for that.

This is someone who grew up the child of immigrants, but in order to fit in with the rich, popular kids in school, nodded along when one of them would talk about immigrants coming over, squeezing out a kid, and taking the jobs of Real Americans.

In college, she was pretty enough to be popular with the boys in that they wanted to screw her, but suddenly wanted to be just friends when she would ask about meeting their parents. A few months later, the blonde chick down the dorm hall would get engaged to the boy she had her eye on.

So much of her work is blatant self-loathing. FFS, she's the child of Asian immigrants, and wrote a book in favor of internment camps. She hates a lot of things, but doesn't hate anything more than the fact that she's never going to be white.

She's a sad, sad person.

It never ceases to amaze me that people think any sitting President is 'in touch' with the people.  They live in a security bubble.  It's well documented.  They're essentially isolated from the world except for orchestrated moments.

Not to defend her (she is a sick, sad person) but she's Filipino and they had kind of a bad history with the Japanese in WW2.  But she's here, and has been here all her life, and she didn't need to write a book defending internment.  Exactly zero of the Japanese people in the US as of WW2 oppressed her parent's country.

You beat me too it. Older Filipinos tend to have a very deep hatred of the Japaneses from WW2. She may have had parents or grandparents that constantly preached to her how evil they are. But it is not an excuse to continue the spew hate about a group of people. There had to be at least one Japanese person in her life that has shown her kindness, and I'm sure that absolutely 0 Japanese people have ever tried to kill her.

The next time I encounter a racist ass who thinks I'm "safe" may I borrow that tactic?  It is perfect.

As for this thought, it is for the thread, not JohnnyC in particular. I've been afraid the last couple months that I might have introduced what is perceived as an alt troll to this thread.  An ex who I've chit chatted with online - safely - platonically - talking innocuous things like music and news and the latest movies....I suggested he check out fark, politics in particular as that is an interest of his....fun site, witty, clever folks, bring your A game....I may have created a monster.

I mostly lurk in the politics threads, but cull research links and provocative comments to investigate further. I try to think reasonably and examine all sides of an issue.  I got a slice of of how unhinged a reasonable guy I thought I knew could get. He went nuts about the time Obama got re-elected.  Hey!  I never knew that my husband and I were leeches on the government teet! fark you very much!  It got ugly.  I unfriended him.  I don't need that bullshiat.  I've seen new ultra conservative farkers that refuse to acknowledge facts and historical record in the last few months that could very well be him.  If I've unleashed that monster, I'm sorry.

You need facts to contradict a claim that there was a "Republican Congress" during the Obama administration, and that the "Republicans" gave "aid" to the terrorists? Curious that you didn't ask the original proponent of that claim for his "facts/links/cites" isn't it?

Number of Benghazi terrorists in custody as the result of the attack: Zero.

Looking forward to your next post declaring victory, even though the original claim was laughably incorrect.

Wow. You read a lot into my rather innocuous question (it's not like I asked what magazines you read).  We all know that the GOP led congress shot down enhanced Embassy funding, and that the GOP/Fox crowd ignores the last twelve years history of Embassy security lapses and tried, unsuccessfully, to make a scandal out of a tragedy. You know this. You are all pissed off, all the sudden, why?

Video does not lie.  Right wingers seem to forget that.  It was not a priority.
