Because the unit of measurement for coolness is the Biden, where Biden is eleven and zero is Romney. Onion Biden is over 9000.


The Biden Scale is not absolute. Romney actually has a negative score, but we have yet to perfect an instrument that will survive his pervasive non-coolness long enough to send back a reading.
