There, fixed that

Now I just imagine Steven Yeun at every read-through going, "DoMaggie and Glen get naked in this scene?"
"No, Steven." "How about this scene?" "No, Steven."

Mugato: Shadowknight: I know it's a completely different universe only using similar rules, but World War Z covers the idea that zombies take longer to rot simply because living things, from animals to bacteria, all have a natural tendency to want to avoid the zombie virus itself

People should get over trying to explain zombies with science. Despite the half assed stab at explaining them at the CDC, zombies are clearly supernatural, no less than vampires are. No one tries to explain them with biology.

you can explain pretty much anything with biology though...

serial_crusher: PsyLord: There will always be new zombies. Remember, they are all infected. You don't have to die from a zombie bite to become a zombie. Death from natural or unnatural causes will turn you into one as long as your brain is intact. So even as the older zombies die out, if humans still are dying, more zombies will be made.

Yeah, but if humans were still dying in numbers that large, the group would have encountered a lot more survivors.  Most of those zombies died in the initial outbreak.

/ I figure everybody's poking muscles have gotten a little stronger too, with all that practice.

Maybe something about making an open declaration of war?

Or someone took a doorstop to the knee.

Why are the zombies so easy to kill now?  You poke them in the eye and they die.  Why are they even a threat? BORING!

All characters on the show should wear this shirt:

Eh, I liked the explanation.  It was just sciency enough to work in the universe without getting exact enough to poke too many holes in my suspension of disbelief.  See also: Dilithium crystals, warp drives...

No mention of Rick calling him the town drunk? Were they implying Rick knew the governor or is that just the realization that he is a Joe Schmo who now has all this power?

Not if he has his Epic Shotgun of Unlimited Shells from the season 2 finale equipped.  Best gun I've ever found in Borderlands 2, too.

I see the season ending with the prison being destroyed or damaged so badly that the crew will have to leave it.  In the chaos, most of the Governor's posse gets killed except for the Governor.  He and Milton will head back to Woodbury and be met with a zombie outbreak inside.  That old lady with arthritis will kick the bucket overnight and start having a midnight snack on the rest of the townsfolk.  The end will be when Andrea confronts the Governor but will hesitate to pull the trigger.  The Governor will seize on her hesitation and draw his gun.  But before he can pull the trigger, grandma zombie comes in and chews on him.  Andrea and Milton will escape and find Rick and join the crew.

SithLord: GoldSpider: I haven't watched since Season 1.  Can I assume the show has long since devolved to the point where the zombies are little more than an afterthought?  A soap opera with the occasional random ugly dude?

It was always a drama series revolving around the characters involved.  The ZA just happens to be the backdrop.

When will people realize that, even though the show is based on a zombie apocalypse, the zombie murder is not the main focal point? We're 3 seasons deep and there's still those odd people who complain that every episode isn't balls to the wall zombie slaughter.

My wife made fun of me for the longest for reading The Walking Dead. Then when the show came out I got even more grief for watching it. That was anyway until I got her to sit down for a few episodes of season 3. She was hooked and watched it front to back from season 1.

I walked in to our bedroom earlier this year and she had one of the issues from Volume 2 and was reading it. She looked up over the comic at me and said

"Shut up, shut up, I don't want to hear"

justtray: Terrible episode, again showing how inferior to the comic this show is.

In the comic Rick has no problem killing the leader of the prison group in cold blood during a zombie attack. In the show, he lets tons of people die, including the backpacker from last week. He knows the Governor is terrible, and the ring leader, that Andrea or puss McGee is 2nd in command and unlikely to lead a retribution. He knows they're going to attack his group anyway, they already DID attack and kill Axel. And yet, he doesn't kill him the first chance he gets.

And why didn't he? So that it kind of makes sense when tons of characters get wiped out in a few weeks because he didn't end it when he could have, and Andrea didn't end it when she should have, because only then will they realize the blatant and obvious truth knocked over their head again and again and again that the governor is a terrible, mashup character of Creed songs played over one another. "I'm evil, but I'm human, but I'm crazy, but I'm loved and justified."

I only watch now in hopes that Rick will die, Daryl will take the lead and the show will be renamed Duck Walking Dynasty.

I hear there are other shows on other channels you might like.

And the wheels started to turn in Milton's head.

Andrea's as well. And if next week is to be believed, then she'll pull in Tyrese and his group to help her out.

It'll be interesting how they pull Tyrese in at this point given that the Gov decapitated him in the comics. Maybe they will stretch the Gov into Season 4.

PsyLord: I was expecting a sniper shot to kill Maggie after she kissed Glenn last night.  Figured that whenever there is an emotional breakthrough, someone's gonna die.

I heard that Lauren Cohan was on Talking Dead and screamed, "Oh FARK! She's on the Death Couch!"

With that in mind, I would take Maggie and Glenn getting doubletapped by Carl to free up and the actors for the new HBO series, "Lauren and Steven Get Naked Early and Often", as a replacement for "Girls".
