All right, who replaced the Australian management team with England's old management team?  Seriously, this story is right out of the Mike Atherton era.

Meanwhile, a fleet of ambulances has been dispatched to sew the England cricket team's sides back together after their laughing fit. And they thought the Pietersen issue was embarrassing...

So the coach wanted the players to do his job for him?

I was just listening to the World Service talking about it, and even they were struggling to suppress laughter and incredulity.  It might have been the first time a World Service announcer lost it on air.

Is international cricket shown on US television at all? I know that there's bars here in Los Angeles that show matches, but out of the 8 bazillion sports channels, does even one show the matches? Thanks.

Pretty sure you can pay extra for Sky if you have a dish or cable. There's also some sleazy deal where you can watch the occasional match on ESPN3 online if you have the right ISP.

Dish Network shows some matches, but it apparently costs a bajillion dollars per match, at least last time I checked.

Of course, every expat (or ex-ex-pat like me) knows if you watch cricket live you just google "(name of countries playing) cricket live streaming" and you'll probably find it.  The commentary might be in Urdu or Sinhalese and you might get two frames per second, but it will be out there.

Willow is only $15 bucks a month, tv or streaming. The days of $100 tests are over. Kind of sucks if you're an England (or Windies) fan since you usually get nothing played there, but you'll see a lot of Australia, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

So the only Australians with talent or guts are now acting like children?

Oh good lord if England don't get complacent then the Ozzies will get humiliated this summer. Best to put your money on a England batsman getting over a thousand runs now before the odds get too small.
