This does not bode well.

2013-03-11 12:09:48 AM
Well Tim and Eric are uber funny, the others; not so much...

/ Only show better then Tom Goes To The Mayor was Saul of The Molemen

2013-03-11 12:09:53 AM
Sure subs- if it aint Larry the Cable Guy, it's just not funny.

2013-03-11 12:13:17 AM
Tomorrow, Glen Beck will launch a Communist Channel, heralding the vision, legacy and greatness of V. I. Lenin.

It makes just as much sense.

Elzar: Well Tim and Eric are uber funny

I knew there had to be someone who thought so

2013-03-11 12:25:54 AM
Today's generation thinks that cringing means it's funny.

2013-03-11 12:28:19 AM
"Literally, we were at a restaurant and Tim said, 'Just attitude!' Which is so Tim," Silverman toldThe Hollywood Reporter over a barbecue brunch shortly before the site's official kickoff. "And then Michael Cera said, 'So...hey?' Which is so Michael Cera."

I can't stop laughing!

My knee is getting sore from slapping!

There ought to be a Pulitzer for comedy.

2013-03-11 01:49:36 AM
What Sarah says is funny.  The way she says it, not so much.

She's a comedian I want to like but end up being annoyed.

2013-03-11 02:23:26 AM
It's Youtube...everything submitted is based on optimism.

2013-03-11 02:52:15 AM
On the one hand, Reggie Watts. So yay.

On the other hand, Michael Cera. So boo.

2013-03-11 03:33:55 AM
if its even 1/10th as gawd awful as Tim and Erics Billion Dollar Movie, I'll just burn my computer now.

Lionel Mandrake: Elzar: Well Tim and Eric are uber funny

Eughhh. Those guys are seriously soft in the head. Silverman and Cera I have found funny on occasion, Tim and Eric? Those guys need to be out of work forever.

2013-03-11 03:43:47 AM
I'd let Sarah Silverman berate me, if you know what I mean

/I think you do

2013-03-11 03:46:02 AM
This is going to make Sifl and Ollie look like A Midsummer Night's Dream.

2013-03-11 03:52:50 AM
I have never seen Sarah Silverman performing anything recognizable as "comedy."

2013-03-11 03:53:54 AM
I like Sarah. Yeah, she's low brow but not everyone can be George Carlin. And she's hot.

2013-03-11 03:59:04 AM
24-hour-a-day nervous reaction shots from Cera as Silverman talks about taking a shiat? Now *that* spells R-A-T-I-N-G-S!

2013-03-11 03:59:06 AM
Attitude is not a replacement for comedy.

Their schtick is joke-free.

2013-03-11 03:59:41 AM
I don't know who Tim and Eric are.  Cera is ridiculous, but not in a funny way.  See previous posts by L.D. Ablo and James F. Campbell.

I don't much like Silverman's delivery, style, or timing.  However, this was brilliant, so she gets a pass:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSfoF6MhgLA

2013-03-11 04:23:47 AM
Sarah Silverman is little more than a pretty face, big boobs, and vagina jokes. Her shtick is that men lower the comedy bar just to let her in.

Tim & Eric were made from a couple of Andy Kaufmann's tumors raised up in a petrie dish.

Michael Cera is a character actor who always plays the same character who lacks any character. But he does find his way into funny things.

2013-03-11 04:25:46 AM
Well, after, Dylan Moran, every stand-up should just die, anyway.

2013-03-11 04:36:24 AM
I can't stand either of the shows I've seen from Tim and Eric, but I find Sarah Silverman funny.

2013-03-11 04:43:36 AM
i want to see sarah silverman in a POV anal movie. those are really the only circumstances id like to see her in at this point.

2013-03-11 04:49:07 AM
I like it that Sarah Silverman did a full frontal nude scene in some movie.

It's her best work.

2013-03-11 04:50:11 AM
Like, he was all so and I was like yeah and she was all like I know and like dude it's all like...

Modern Shakespeare.

2013-03-11 04:59:52 AM
it's not often you see suck and blow simultaneously

2013-03-11 05:40:28 AM
Sarah Silverman should've stopped after the opening scene of Way of the Gun.

Michael Cera should've stopped after reaching puberty.

Tim and Eric ... well, how can you stop if you never started in the first place?

2013-03-11 05:58:03 AM
Pulling the levers are two TV heavyweights --Jimmy Kimmel Live! co-executive producerDouglas De Luca andDaniel Kellison, a former Kimmel executive producer and creator of shows likeCrank Yankers andThe Man Show. The pair see great potential in Jash as a comedy incubator, and predict future crossovers with Kimmel's ABC talker.

no thanks.

The only way this could possible be better is if they had Leno headlining it.

I don't agree with Gat often, but on this subject I heartily concur.

The impressively pedigreed group

Wait, say that again...so I can laugh harder!

It was all floppity.

They're launching The Comedy Channel?  Will it have Short Attention Span Theatre?

/yes, I'm old

2013-03-11 08:19:33 AM
I'd love it if a comedy channel had, oh, I don't know, actual comedy on it. Comedy Central can keep playing cartoons and summer flops from six years ago. Give me a new  Comedy at the Improv and Live from the Apollo...new sketch comedy shows and reruns of Kids in the Hall, Upright Citizens Brigade, Tim and Eric.

2013-03-11 08:27:05 AM
Haven't Tim & Eric finished making [adult swim] over in their image yet?

/the only thing of theirs that I've found funny was the "my legs are long" song, and that was more silly than funny

2013-03-11 08:37:34 AM
The latest check from Tim and Eric must have bounced at Adult Swim.

Seriously, those guys were the worst thing on that network...and that is saying a lot.

I still found it all fappity.

When they stay off camera, some of their stuff is gold.  The Eric Andre Show is awesome.

That's a whole lotta monkey cheese!

She repackages juvenile, Andrew-Dice-Clay-esque material under the guise of "throwing it back at the oppressors". Hardly cutting edge or remotely funny.

1)Glad I'm not the only one to think of this

2)I liked Cera as Scott Pilgrim

3)Good point

Tim and Eric are pretty bad, but they did give us the best Old Spice commercials(well, second best after Bruce)

Elzar: Well Tim and Eric are uber funny, the others; not so much...

Meh.  T&EAS was really hit or miss.  So much so that it wasn't really worth watching the bad episodes to get to the good stuff.

I preferred these guys:

I can't believe Strangers with Candy outlasted these guys.  That SwC biatch needed to be shot out of a cannon pointed towards the sun.

Swish. Some more chances to watch Cera's same character from Arrested Development. But this time surrounded by vomiting cats that are also making vagina fart sounds.

/the new comedy is here

2013-03-11 09:58:01 AM
Tim and Erik. The ultimate evolution in hipster comedy.

Going so far out of the way to be not funny that somehow they think it goes full circle to funny. And if you don't laugh or find them hilarious then you just don't get "it".

2013-03-11 10:01:15 AM
Sarah Silverman can be funny when she is using someone else's material. Her own material, not so much.

I love Adult Swim, but I never got Tim & Eric.

And, uh, Michael Cera is a great George Michael Bluth, so there's that.

...hey, they could surprise us all.

gunther_bumpass: This is going to make Sifl and Ollie look like A Midsummer Night's Dream.

After all these years I still get excited to watch Sifl and Ollie only to be reminded in 2-3 minutes why I shouldn't.

It's weird.
