ZAZ: The train would come up from Hartford (?), unload a bunch of elephants in Cambridge, and they would walk along city streets to get to the circus site. If you're a kid it's the best thing in the world. If you're a petan it's tantamount to re-enacting the Holocaust.

You're missing the important part: the elephants got OUT of Hartford.
